You are right, long lasting happiness is definitely by choice and even with your many riches or achievements it's not a criteria for having long lasting happiness.
Long lasting happiness is very different from a one second happiness, for it to last long you have to build it on things that last long.

That is it, our basis for happiness should not be on material things, if possible it should just be natural, Else when the things we attached it to are no more, it will always die off.
