A new year begins and with it the opportunity to organize my agenda to prepare the gifts that I will be giving to those special and spoiled beings of my heart❤️.

This time I want to share with you how I decorated a flannel using fabric. This flannel will be the gift of a great friend, sister and comadre, she is a lover of the color blue, she loves the sea and the sky, she is a spontaneous poet of life, she is a mother, magic and sweetness. As my friend is a lover of the color blue I selected a blue flannel, decorated with thread in a beautiful range of blues.

The materials of this gift are fascinating, especially the yarn. It is a spectacular yarn, it is already decorated and in a special shade of blue, it is a beautiful yarn.

Apart from the yarn, this project requires a wool needle, two crochet hooks with the sizes 1.0 and 2.5 and scissors.

When I make a gift, I connect with the person to whom I am going to give it, their tastes, what they are passionate about, the love that unites us, what we have lived, what I wish for them and many more.

Well, this gift is no exception, my friend is very magical, she is also an artist, singer and poet... When I saw the thread, I imagined making a kind of dreamcatcher on her flannel or making a simulation of a dreamcatcher. A dreamcatcher is a kind of hoop in which it is filled with a kind of fabric decorated with feathers. My friend is also very dreamy, so I want her to keep catching only positive dreams.

To make this decoration, I started by knitting single crochet over the entire edge of the flannel, to knit this edge I used the thinnest crochet hook, so that it would be easy to knit and not break the flannel.

At first you may feel some fear of tearing the flannel, but that does not happen when selecting the thin crochet, the wonderful thing is that this fabric is kept for a long time. Embrace with single crochet all the border, including the throws. Once the knitting is complete, cut and hide the yarns.

At this point is when I am going to simulate the decoration of a dreamcatcher, I cut strands of yarn and placed them on the edge, for this I used the crochet hook 2.5 to pass the yarn through the front, once I passed the double thread with the needle I made a knot. These strands of yarn are not the same size.

I'm super happy with the result, it seems to me that this gift represents my beautiful friend, she has a birthday soon, I don't know if I can give her the gift the same day of her birthday, but I will surely give it to her when we see each other.
