The Urmiri Hot Springs, Bolivia

On our trip, we left very early from La Paz and went up the plateau towards the city of Alto, to take the national highway that would take us via Oruro to our destination.

I remember that the road was very long, about 2 hours, between the stops we made, 70 km of paved road and about 45 km of unpaved road, which limits going very slowly because what they saw were overhangs that caused me a lot of fear. But I also remember the beautiful landscapes that I could see, the people with their typical costumes, their houses, their daily tasks. Upon reaching the highest part, we began to descend along a dirt road and a single channel and we almost reached a tunnel made with perforated stone and there were surprisingly hot springs. A beautiful place, where there is a hotel and you can visit for 1 day or stay, if you prefer. We were alone one day. Once there, we visit the public pool area, where we take a good bath, since these waters have healing properties for different diseases. After bathing, we went to explore the beautiful gardens of the place.
