This afternoon, I decided to draw my Bondee character. Oh, wait. Have you already downloaded the app? Honestly, I was so hesitant to download it because I know very well that it will eat my time. 🤣

@jude.villarta was the one who introduced to me the social media app. I thought it was a game at first. It turned out like Facebook, but it a cuter way~

Here is my Bondee Character

Here is an up close picture of my character. You can customize your Bondee character with the wide range of choices.

I chose hair with a little bit of a window bangs in dark brown color.

A little accessory like one earring is fine to me. Looks cute haha!

The stickers on the face reminds me of Olivia Rodrigo's album Sour. I just realized it now. 🤣

Instead of a normal human smile, I chose the cat like one. Hehe~

I will use this as my reference!

So, I try to find a sitting girl reference first on Pinterest. I cannot find exactly what I want so, what I do is I just draw it from my imagination. If you notice, on the sketch, it has a different expression and hand position. Sometimes in the process of doing the lineart and base color, I realized that I want to change some parts of the drawing.

See, the eyes are both opened on the first picture, and then I changed it to winky eye. On the hand position, at first I just want to semi closed hand and then, I changed it to peace sign to match the eyes.

I think shadowing makes the picture alive. Shadowing for me is important because it is like making a flat surface make 3D-ish~, right? :D I know some artists here are versatile when it comes to blending and shadowing. I am still learning how to blend properly. Also, I am happy that I can post here in Hive (and also earn) and then I can go back to my old art and see what I had improved on.

In the next picture, I put darker shadows on the corners of the clothing. If I am lazy to pick a shadow color, I just add a new layer, and put it in multiply. And then, use the color-pick tool. Pick the base color and then lower the opacity to 50 percent.

At the part, I already added the stickers on the face. :D Also, there is a pink hair pin in my character. It is just that it cannot be seen on the reference.

the background is the window of my room on Bondee. By the way, on Bondee, you can leave a sticky note to you neighbors. You can write whatever you want. :D

You can customize your room and when you do that, existing sticky notes will be gone. D: I hope the dev will have an update about this.

For the final stage, I put shadowing on the hand. Honestly, I am still struggling with the hands, gosh! Well, practice is the key! From now on, I should be included hands on my drawing haha! Fingers crossed, no pun intended.

On the window pane, I chose a light blue color. I added a gray tone shadowing on the curtain plus the shadow of the sticky note. This is also the stage that I use the magic liquify tool. This is my savior HAHA!
