[OCs] School Days

A quick art for my two OCs! 🥰

I kind of miss my school days so, why not dress them up in school uniforms? 😆 Right now, I am into the manga art style. Manga style uses hatchings, cross-hatchings, etc. to show depths and dimensions. Also, manga's do not have coloring at all, usually just the front pages or important panels.

In my sketch, I try to position FP leaning on Sharky with his hand holding her head on the side. A lot of time was spent on hand positioning, which is a great exercise, while Sharky's arms are folded. I like to put a "shy" expression on her, while the guy's expression is just neutral.

On the lineart, I chose a pencil textured brush. In size 2.5, I drew the outline thicker, and half the size of the is the inner lines for the clothing's folds and hatchings.

Next, I applied the base colors. I used a dark blue shade for the skirt and pants, and red for the details on the shirt. Next, I used a darker shade for the shading. I over-exaggerated the blush color to show the expression.

Final Art

Since this is a manga styled art, I searched for a school building in the image inventory. I put some leaves drifting in the air for an extra detail. I used liquify tool to fix some edges.
