I really like the reference that I picked from Pinterest, but I realized I had a problem, haha. 😆 You see, Verdarox is a wingless dragon, and so, I had to figure out how the body would be since the reference that I had had wings. That was the main concern for me, other than the light, shadows, and details.

I imagined Verdarox would be resting on fields of flowers on top of the mountain. Perhaps, tired from training. 😆 He looks peaceful, but don't get fooled! hahaha. 😄

• shadows and details

Now, I applied another layer for the shadows, just a darker shade of the base on multiple mode. I manually drew the mountain and sunlight, all from imagining a peaceful sunrise. The flowers were downloaded images from the inventory. And then blurred them out for a depth effect.

Final Art

The bokeh light effect even made it beautiful! I thought it was the final touch to this piece. 😊 It was a great feeling finally posting this art.
