A Feathered Stroll
I've been able to take pictures of a handful of birds the last few years and I do so, just like I do anything that provides a great photo opportunity and putting my iPhone to good use. More importantly, they are my pictures and not having to ask for permission or pay anyone to use them.
The picture I uploaded for this post was taken in** Lake Eola Park** here in Central Florida, which has provided me tons of those opportunities. Also, one of the places where some of our favorite running events are held.
My lack of knowledge of birds has left me with a go to platform like https://www.birds.cornell.edu/homeThe Cornell Lab and it's app to try and come as close as possible in identifying the birds.
This particular bird was identified as an American Coot
I don't feel one hundred percent confident that it is, but it definitely has a handful of the characteristics from the picture I took of it.
After working out yesterday for the first time in three months, I'm definitely feeling sore today.. Tiffany and I are taking a day off after every session this being our first week back after the long and forced break.
Tiffa is considering doing so, until further notice and I starting next week; will go right back to what I've done for over eight years and that is just one rest day and six days of HIIT sessions.
I will listen to my body, since the damage from the accident is permanent and won't ignore anything that doesn't feel right. I'll immediately take a day off or two along the way if that happens.

My Granny used to refer to men older than she was as "old coots." Not sure if it was a compliment, but it didn't seem to be an insult--just an observation. I guess being called a duck is not the worst thing to be called. !CTP
It was funny when I read the name. Old Coot is definitely one of the classic phrases lol.

Hi, Jimmy. Great to hear you are working out again.
Yes listen to your body and taking a day off in-between workouts is a great idea!
That's a nice picture of the American Coot taken with your iphone.
Your identification looks correct to me. It's hard to take pictures of wild birds with a iphone camera. The ones I see are too far away to even show up LOL, or they fly away by the time I get the camera ready.
It's nice to know there is another bird lover here.
Have a great day and evening.
Barb
Thanks Barb!
Yes, I'm surprised that many of the bird shots I've taken they haven't attacked me yet lol.
