Not mad at getting an extra day to relax and not having to work today, but blessed to have employment.

Living in Central Florida can feel like you are on vacation 24/7, but in all honesty; that becomes cumbersome; when you are a resident here. Strictly from a personal standpoint.

With that said, to have massive amounts of options to visit nearby is not a bad deal and although, I prefer living in or closer to a beach town; hard to complain about it.

When my fiancé Tiffany and I eventually move to Sarasota, it will still be an easy ride here to visit.

There are a few beaches close enough and we will be staying a few days at Cocoa Beach in a couple weeks. Not Sarasota beaches, but a beach nevertheless.

Yesterday, Tiffany, her boys and I went over to the Polynesian Resort: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/polynesian-resort/

Tiffany’s oldest son and his girlfriend were staying there with her Father and his girlfriend.

We hadn’t met his girlfriend’s family since they’ve been together and this was important to do, since he is now living with them.

I’ve been to Disney a dozen times, but never visited the Polynesian until yesterday.

We are planning to take the boys to Lake Eola Park and Barbecue for lunch today, so we’ll see. I just want to be safely home when the fireworks at on full blast.

The photo I uploaded for this post was from yesterday’s visit at the Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This was right off the front entrance of the resort.

That's an awesome photo and I assume it was even better in reality.

But did I get this wrong? Weren't you from NYC? Or that's already a long time ago. :)

Brooklyn, New York born and raised @gadrian but moved from NY about 15 plus years ago.

Most of those 15 in Central Florida a couple of years before that in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.

The Polynesian Resort is beautiful. I am pretty sure this happened at the Polynesian. One year when we were at Disney world and walked into the hotel. the very large fountain was turned off and there was a man in the empty fountain shoveling the change people had thrown in making wishes. I watched for a couple of minutes. He filled up the fifth 5 gallon bucket and started filling another.

I finally broke down and ask him. "How often do you do this?" With the amount he had already shoveled and the amount still to go, I expected an answer like once a month, maybe every 2 weeks. To my amazement the answer was...

"Every Day!"
