Jiffy and OTF Coach #217

It wouldn't be a New Year's Eve without starting the day off with a great ORANGETHEORY FITNESS workout. I mean we workout at OTF most days, most weeks and most months.

The bonus today was taking the drive up to workout at the Orangetheory in Orlando - Waterford, Park and burning splats for our 217th Orangetheory Fitness Coach as a couple. It was also the last ALL OUT AOKI template edition of the year. Once a month, the workouts are synchronized with a STEVE AOKI mixtape specicially arranged for Orangetheory Fitness.

The session was a good one, since it was a specialty workout and set up a a 3 group format to accomdate the flow of the template.

I burned over 800 calories and got my splats and Tiffa also got her splats and got her 400 plus calorie burn.

Coach Terrell is awsome, has an amazing vibe, calls the workout floor area "Hell's Kitchen" and his catch phrase before every cue is "we about to go live" "five, four, three, dos, uno"

Didn't feel at 100% on the treadmill blocks but still managed to accumulate 1.4 miles in the shorts block set up today. I decided to do the all outs by powerwalking at an 8% incline and speed at 4mph, did my base pases at 10% incline with a speed of 3mph but still managed to run an 8 mile per hour push intermittently. The hamstring did bark a bit, but I escaped making it worse.

I'm stoked for a new year of more high intensity interval training sessions and another running event coming up in January.

Jiffy (Jimmy + Tiffany) as we are known in the Orangetheory community have worked out for 17 coaches since coming back from the car accident, adding to our growing list of 217 before 2022 ended. In February, I start my 9th year as an Orangetheory member. Tiffa will begin her 8th later in the year.
