Just Passing By

After yesterday's workout, on our way back home; there were a couple of what I believe are Sandhill Cranes and of course took the opportunity to get a quick photo of them to post.

There is this pretty wide path between us and one of our neighbors and the birds were making their way through and we saw them from the back of our house where the garage is at.

We live in a community with an HOA, so that particular path is not part of our townhome ownership. Tiffany and I chose to buy our townhome, because of not having to live sandwiched between two neighbors. That grassy pathway keeps it that way. As we are connected to one neighbor and the other neighbor is separated by that path.

So, not the best when folks and sometimes folks we never seen before cross through it; but it is what it is. At least we have some breathing room between neighbors.

I much prefer to see true nature at it's best and seeing birds like these Cranes get to where they going by using that path made it much easier to adapt to the foot traffic outside our window. Luckily it's not an annoyingly constant occurrence. For the most part, folks don't really stop to chat or litter on the path.

This photo is not the greatest of pictures and you have to look closely to get a good luck at the birds, but it was more about them passing through; that caught my attention.

I forget sometimes that they do that and hadn't seen them pass by our house the last few months, so wanted to get a photo of them; since I had the chance.

Oh wow! They're huge! Roy put cameras on the house now because we want to have some level of security. We get skunks, raccoons, cats, and possums going through the yard during the night. And we live in town. Roy suspects that they're camping under the bushes that Dad has in the front yard. We live in an older neighborhood with no HOA. I kind of like the whole no HOA thing. The only thing we don't care for is the neighbors on one side burning stuff in their fire pit. Can't keep the windows open with that going on. Not going to complain though because they take care of snow removal for us.

Not a fan of HOA, because it’s Poland a racket; especially if those involved suck lol.

I don’t blame you on the snow removal trad off 🤪

Happy Monday Lisa!

Big fan of minding my own business. Especially when what is going on is not illegal and not endangering us. Besides HOAs are just a bunch of Karens that you have to pay so that they can tell you what you can do with your property. Um, NO thank you.
LOL
Happy Wednesday! 😀

they are Katie, it always catches me off guard when we see them out here.

Not as often in our community, so having them pass by the house was pretty neat

You had a great catch, in right place and right time, interesting that they do not have a problem beng so close to the houses and human.
