Only Way is Up

Back in 2017, Tiffany and I went to Washington, DC. I had been there years ago for work and loved it and I believe she had gone for work at some point as well. Her and I have been there twice and it's one of our favorite destinations. We have stayed in the same hotel both times.

For a span of five years Tiffany and I flew out a handful of times to Chicago, DC, Austin, Texas and a very short trip to New York for my cousin's wedding. Most of our getaways have been in Florida and we've covered spots here and still have plenty more to go.

None of us has gotten on an airplane since the pandemic hit, so needless to say that although the insanity of navigating through an airport is less than exciting it looks like we will finally be flying out again.

Tiffany has a business trip coming up soon and then Tiffa, her boys and I will be flying out to New York in a few months. This is exciting news, because when Tiffa and I went together for that wedding we spent a very short time there and did not get to do all that New York offers.

It's my home. It's where I was born and raised and worked and partied, etc.

Now that many years have passed, since I moved out of New York, we get to do experience it as a family. The youngest has never been on a plane, the 15 year old would never remember when he did and Tiffany and I have always wanted to do the full experience of being a New York tourist. Although, I'm a New Yorker I am going as it was my first time there so that I can match up the enthusiasm with the boys and watching Tiffa absorb it all.

Trips to the more hustling and bustling cities like Chicago and DC brought me back memories of my life in New York and I guess why I enjoyed those visits so much.

I took this photo when we got on the long ass escalator at the WASHINGTON METRO'S WHEATON STATION

That is a very long escalator. I have been to Chicago many times because I only live an hour away from it. My first time on a plane was at 18 years old. Our family always took road trips in the car. That should be fun to experience New York for the first time with your family. Let me know if you see any Law and Order people around. In fact, get a selfie if you do. Any of the Law and Order shows.

Awesome that it’s only a one hour drive for you.

I was able to experience filming of movies and shows in my New York years.

That would be cool if we get to see them filming L&O 📸

That must have been interesting.
I am an L&O geek fan girl.
I've been watching it since the original started in 1990.
To be truthful I am a fan of everything produced by Dick Wolf Studios.
Have a great rest of your day, @jimmy.adames😀
