"Doel" is the Bengali name of this bird. This is the national bird of Bangladesh. There are very few birds in our country that can survive in the barren forests of cities and villages. A bird that lives in a forest cannot live in a city. But it is different for Doel birds. It's can survive in the city and villgae.

This beautiful bird weighing only 40 grams, is therefore found everywhere in the country. They benefit farmers by eating insects. Due to the many qualities of the doel bird and the fact that it is found all over the country, the doel bird is designated as the national bird of Bangladesh.
