Dare to dream

Dare to dream!!!

Father’s stern look scared me to the marrows
For I told him I had dared to dream of ‘morow
He had warned, only the rich have dreams
Yet, I would not give up, my dreams seemed real
Come, sit, and tell me about your dreams father beckoned

My outfit was such as the Englishman’s
Servants waited upon me to give an order
I was the attraction centered upon by many
A prayer parents rendered for their wards
I was the leader and friend to the masses

Stop your daydream son, father rebuked.
How can the lowly peak so high
From whence would thine wings sprout?
Only time will tell if your dreams would beam
Speed your efforts, days are numbered, father advised.

The part where you say that the rich only dream caught my attention. The father never thought he had rights and considered himself, alguem inferior con respecto a otras personas.

Some lines very well worked.
Thanks for sharing.
Good day.

I think it wonderful for children to daydream to be someone important or to do something important in life. I also understand how a father would want you to stick with reality because dreams rarely come true. They may rarely come true, but they do come true occasionally. Keep dreaming.
