Ok, this is going to be easy to explain (I hope so)...

Today after breakfast, I took my old Nikon D7000 along with my 55-300mm zoom lens and set out to hit the streets for a few shots.... But just after walking around a bit, I found nothing interesting to photograph in my usual streets.... So I decided to walk towards the west of the village and approach the small river that is the boundary between the village and the mountainous hills..... There was nothing interesting to photograph there either!.... So I decided to sit on the river bank and think a bit about what I could do, so as not to return home without photos.... That's the story of how I ended up taking pictures of the water running between the stones and roots in the river!... ha ha ha ha 😂... And these are the pictures!... 📷😎

I have to confess that I shot the first photo towards the water out of sheer boredom.... But when I looked at it in the viewfinder of the camera I was delighted!... I had finally found some pictures to take today!... Then I started playing with the parameters for the capture and taking pictures like the obsessive maniac that I am! 📷😵‍💫

Thanks to carrying my old 55-300mm lens, I can take pictures with a variety of focal lengths without having to end up with my head and feet in the water 😂📷... I was even able to compose the photos in-camera and avoid further cropping during processing.... This was great fun, I spent more than an hour sitting and standing on the banks of the small river, taking pictures!...

The close-up shots with a focal length above 250mm are my favorites... Looking at that abstract and chaotic effect of the bubbles forming in the foam, I found it a fascinating thing to watch.... I think the shorter focal length shots also look pretty good, but they seem to contain less drama.... So I took more close-up shots instead of the wider angle ones!...

This can be really entertaining... I think I'll end up visiting more nearby creeks and streams before the dry season comes and they run out of water.... For now, I think I learned something new today as far as photography goes.... And all thanks to being bored!... 😎

And a "calm photo" couldn't be missing!... It can't all be water rushing and foaming!.... This nice pair of leaves floating in a quiet little backwater of the river, are my perfect excuse to have a nice photo to close this publication... Thank you all so much for stopping by, thanks for appreciating these images.... See you soon again with more pictures in between... A hug to all of you!

You are welcome @jlinaresp 👋🏻😊 anytime.
You know… I was soooooo busy today with work and other things. When I checked Hive and saw the last photo… it did do the same… a stillness and calm that was needed to be seen and felt.
Thanks 🤗🌺

If you asked me what is the subject on the first one, I would never guess so my vote goes to that one!
Ever tried playing with long exposure and water?

Hello @alt3r friend!... Thank you so much for stopping by and appreciating!...I'm glad you liked that first picture!.... 😍

I've been a while without making long exposures to water (I'm pretty "lazy" to carry with me my tripod).... But today, taking these photos, that crossed my mind.... So maybe I'll experiment again at any time.... 📷

Regards and hugs for you!!!

Excelente trabajo, @jlinaresp. Saludos.
