"NOVA"... (And I made this with plant parts, I assure you!) || ENG-ESP

Hello dear #Hive people!.... The decision I made years ago about "simplifying my life" just keeps getting better and better..... I say that because I just spent 5-6 hours of my life modifying a couple of photos on my PC, while everyone around me was busy doing something productive!... 😂😂😂... I know, it sounds a bit strange, but it's quite true...My mother, sister, wife and daughter often grumble around like Klingons!

My work today is called "Nova" due to my intention to make it allegorical to a star expanding in a climax of light and energy... The curious thing is that I used a photo of an aloe flower and another one of orchid roots to do this!... Weird, isn't it?... Well, here I illustrate how this happened!... 🎨👽

¿Raro, no?... ¡Pues aquí os ilustro como sucedió esto!... 🎨👽

stage1.jpg

STAGE 1 - I took one of my macro shots of an Aloe Vera flower (it only blooms once a year, so it's always good to capture them, they're beautiful)... I modified it, generated two opposite images and vertically joined them...

stage2.jpg

STAGE 2 - I altered the resulting image using liquefy brushes, then added dark magentas using splatter brushes, also put more intense color lines around the center, then used the zoom and radial blur filters and finally expanded the center using the appropriate transform tools.

stage3.jpg

STAGE 3 - Let's add a good dose of "orchid roots" here!... (Also one of my macro photos taken in my home garden).... I fused those roots with one of the primary phases from STAGE 2 and after converting them into a single image, I used the liquefier brushes and pinwheel filters to "paint at will".... I also textured using oil simulation...

stage4.jpg

STAGE 4 - I used the final result of STAGE 2 and ran it through blurred radial filters, then added very thin white lines (I have no idea why, but they look nice when combined with testures) and finally generated a distorted perspective version.

stage5.jpg

STAGE 5 - I merged the layer of STAGE 3 with the one of STAGE 4, made some cutouts then expanded with black areas to generate space to paint, then used the blender brushes to cover the sides and obtain a rectagular visual plane.

stage6.jpg

STAGE 6 - Wow, this stage took a little more than a couple of hours (although I confess that I went to the kitchen for sandwiches a couple of times)... I selectively modified the colors, cloned areas and then altered them with the pinwheel and liquefy brushes, added some more textures in certain areas with the oil filter and finally added the necessary glitter effects... Done!... I have a "NOVA" made out of flowers and roots!... 🎨👽

NOTE: All the pictures used were taken by me and are my property... The alteration process is done using Photoshop and PhotoScape in an "absolutely anarchistic" way and as needed to achieve the desired results... It's a nice thing to do and it's also good to meditate while doing it!...

Thank you all for stopping by and appreciating!... Over and out!

Muchas gracias todos por pasar y apreciar!... ¡Cambio y fuera!
