Hello #Hive friends, here's my entry to today's #monomad challenge..... Again I bring my stolen stories, my photos of streets and occasionally of the countryside, because this village is just that, an eclectic combination of urban and rural in constant dance.... And so, to be able to visit it frequently, is something that makes me feel lucky...

Hola amigos de #Hive, esta es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy... De nuevo traigo mis historias robadas, mis fotos de calles y ocasionalmente del campo, porque este poblado es eso, una combinación ecléctica de lo urbano y lo rural en constancia danza... Y entonces, poder recorrerlo frecuentemente, es algo que me hace sentir afortunado...

"Pedro goes down the street".... Pedro lives 50 meters away from my house, on "Ricaurte" street, the one I usually call " The back street"... Pedro always seems to be somewhere in that street, either going, or coming, or just stopped and watching.

"Pedro va por la calle"... Pedro vive a 50 metros de mi casa, por la calle "Ricaurte", esa que usualmente llamo "La calle de atrás"... Pedro siempre parece estar en algún espacio de esa calle, ya sea yendo, ya sea viniendo, o simplemente detenido observando.

"Peter looking around the corner"... See what I'm saying? Pedro always seems to be somewhere in "My back street".... The house where Pedro lives is not his own, but belongs to someone who lives in the capital of the state (Valencia) and comes to spend weekends here... So Pedro "takes care" of that house and gets paid for it, so technically his job is to be there...

"Pedro mirando en la esquina"... ¿Ven lo que os digo?... Pedro siempre parece estar en algún lugar de "Mi calle de atrás"... La casa en donde vive Pedro no es de su pertenencia, sino que pertenece alguien que vive en la capital del estado (Valencia) y viene a pasar aquí los fines de semana... Entonces Pedro "cuida" esa casa y le pagan por eso, así que técnicamente su trabajo es estar ahí...

"The back street"... And speaking of my back street... I have to say that this is where most of my photographs "happen", since it is the first thing I see when I go out of the door of my garage... And there's always something going on there, so it's usually hard to look at it and not start shooting...

"La calle de atrás"... Y hablando de mi calle de atrás... Tengo que decir que allí "suceden" gran parte de mis fotografías, pues es lo primero que veo al salir por la portezuela de mi garaje... Y siempre está sucediendo algo allí, por lo general es difícil observarla y no ponerse a disparar fotos...

"Peter carrying firewood".... This is another Pedro, this is a Pedro far from my house, he lives on the edge of town, where the farmland and the rural roads begin... So it is common to see Pedro carrying firewood for cooking at home, as he says that they have never used gas for that... He goes smiling and singing while he pushes his old wheelbarrow...

"Pedro acarreando leña"... Este es otro Pedro, este es un Pedro lejos de mi casa, vive en las margenes del pueblo, donde comienzan las tierras de siembra y los caminos rurales... Entonces es común ver Pedro llevando leña para cocinar en casa, pues él dice que nunca han usado gas para eso... Va sonriendo y cantando mientras empuja su vieja carretilla...

"Peter in portrait"... Seen up close, Pedro's age is indecipherable, his hair and beard are confusing and make him look older, but Pedro does not exceed 40 years, I remember seeing him as a child walking along these roads... But also, when looking at him closely, his constant smile, makes him look younger.

"Pedro en retrato"... Visto de cerca, la edad de pedro es indescifrable, sus cabello y su barba confunden y le hacen parecer más viejo, pero Pedro no excede los 40 años, yo recuerdo haberlo visto siendo un niño ca,minando por estos caminos... Pero también, al mirarlo de cerca, su sonrisa constante, le hace ver más joven.

"A break"... I don't think I could understand street photography without the dogs.... Here there is practically at least one in every street, so photographing a dog resting, or playing, or just passing by, is something that makes me appreciate and understand the streets, as much as when I photograph people and things...

"Un descanso"... Creo que yo no podría entender la fotografía callejera sin los perros... Aquí prácticamente hay cuando menos uno por cada calle, entonces fotografiar un perro en descanso, o jugando, o simplemente pasando por allí, es algo que me hace apreciar y entender lasa calles, tanto como cuando fotografío personas y cosas...

"Bell and pigeon"... The parish church has become the home of hundreds of pigeons... They used to live in its towers, entering through the openings where the bells hang... A few years ago, bars were put up to prevent the pigeons from entering... But, against all odds, the chicks are still there and now there are more... Be that as it may, there is always a charming photo there.

"Campana y pichón"... La iglesia parroquial se ha convertido en la casa de cientos de pichones... Solían vivir en sus torres, entraban por las aberturas donde cuelgan las campanas... Hace pocos años se colocaron rejas para evitar la entrada de los pichones... Pero, contra todo pronóstico, los pichones siguen allí y ahora son más... Sea como sea, siempre hay allí alguna foto encantadora.

"It's customary"... As you may have seen in my previous posts, using old baby carriages to transport things has become commonplace here.... The reason is complicated to assimilate, as it has to do with the scarcity of fuel, the lack of drinking water through the pipes, and even the need to go out and sell things in the streets door to door... But whatever the reason, it is still an interesting photographic motif... Maybe later I'll make a selection of my photos of people with baby carriages and share them...

"Ya es costumbre"... Como quizás hayan visto en mis publicaciones anteriores, usar viejos coches de bebé para transportar cosas se ha vuelto algo común aquí... La razón en complicada de asimilar, pues tiene que ver con la escasez de combustible, la carencia de agua potable por las tuberías, e incluso la necesidad de salir a vender cosas por lasa calles de puerta en puerta... Pero sea cual sea el motivo, no deja de ser un motivo fotográfico interesante... Quizás después haga una selección de mis fotos de personas con cochechitos de bebé y las comparte...
