Hello to all my dear #Hive friends!.... Welcome to another edition of my monochrome photo series "Stolen Stories", which is my entry to today's #monomad challenge.

Hola a todos queridos amigos en #Hive!... Bienvenidos a otra edición de mi serie de fotografías monocromáticas "Historias Robadas", la cual es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy.

"The old Power Wagon without fences"... I finally had the opportunity to photograph this old vehicle without being behind the fences of the lot where it is lying. This old Dodge has a thousand memories in my mind. But one of the anecdotes I remember the most was when, as a kid, the owner offered me a ride in the cargo bed of this vehicle up the mountain with some of my friends from the neighbourhood. It was indeed a memorable ride, both for the experience of going up there and seeing the landscape, and for the amount of engine smoke we had to breathe 😂😂😂... It was certainly another way to experience childhood!

"La vieja Power Wagon sin rejas"... Finalmente tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar este viejo vehículo sin estar detrás de las rejas del terreno en donde está tirada. Esta vieja Dodge tiene mil recuerdos en mi mente. Pero una de las anécdotas que más recuerdo fue cuando siendo un niño, su dueño me ofreció llevarme en la plataforma de carga de este vehículo montaña arriba junto con otros de mis amigos del vecindario. Fue en realidad un paseo memorable, tanto por la experiencia de ir allí viendo el paisaje, como por la cantidad de humo del motor que tuvimos que respirar 😂😂😂... ¡Ciertamente, era otra manera de vivir la infancia!.

"Lina's nephews"... This pair of kids (they are brothers) are always at the house of their aunt Lina, who usually cooks with firewood in the street in front of her house, with the intention of selling the dishes she prepares there. The funny thing is that their aunt asks them both to help her a bit with the work, but these kids don't seem to be planning to help too much, on the contrary, they just seem to want to play all the time!

"Los sobrinos de Lina"... Este par de chiquillos (son hermanos) suelen estar siempre n la casa de su tía Lina, quien suele cocinar con leña en la calle en frete de su casa, con la intención de vender allí mismo los platos que prepara. Lo curioso, es que su tía les conmina a ambos a ayudarla un poco con el trabajo, pero estos chicos no parecen tener planeado ayudar demasiado, por el contrario ¡solo parecen querer jugar todo el tiempo!.

"That lovely look"... I shot this photo almost unconsciously, in fact I spent several minutes afterwards staring at this charming dog from the street towards his chair, on which he was lying inside a house... What could be more charming than that look? Hummm, he is a good-natured dog, I have known him for some time, as he can often be found in the same street from which I photographed him this time.

"Esa mirada encantadora"... Disparé esta foto casi de forma inconsciente, en realidad después dediqué varios minutos a mirar fijamente a este encantador perro desde la calle hacia su silla, en la cual estaba echado dentro de una casa... ¿Hay acaso algo más encantador que esa mirada?. Hummm, es un perro de buen carácter, le conozco desde hace cierto tiempo, pues con frecuencia se le puede encontrar en la misma calle desde la cual le fotografíe esta vez.

"Farriar Avenue at 2 PM"...The last street at the town's West, holds an infinite number of tiny stories dotting its corners. But one of the most interesting is in the foreground on the right, where you can see "Silverio Barreto", almost 80 years old, riding his old delivery bike, after having left a delivery at a house. This is how he continues to earn a living even at his advanced age. I suppose that this same attitude and constant activity is part of what keeps him healthy and strong.

"La Avenida Farriar a las 2 PM"...La ultima calle del pueblo al Oeste, encierra una infinita cantidad de historias diminutas salpicando sus rincones. Pero una de las más interesantes está en primer plano a la derecha, donde se puede observar a "Silverio Barreto" con sus casi 80 años subiendo a su vieja bicicleta repartidora, después de haber dejado algún encargo en una casa. Así él se sigue ganando la vida aún con su avanzada edad. Supongo que esa misma actitud y constante actividad, es parte de lo que le mantiene saludable y fuerte.

"This is Lina"... You already know Lina, as I take pictures of her very often and have shared them with you before. In fact every time I see her she demands that I take a picture of her! 😂😂😂 She is also the aunt of the little boys in the second picture of this post. Visiting Lina's house is always synonymous with a pleasant and enjoyable time, as well as some lovely photos to take.

"Esta es Lina"... A Lina ya le conocen, pues hago fotografías de ella con mucha frecuencia y ya las he compartido con ustedes antes. De hecho ¡cada vez que le veo ella exige que le haga una foto! 😂😂😂 Además ella es la tía de los chiquillos de la segunda fotografía de esta publicación. Pasar por la casa de Lina siempre es sinónimo de un rato ameno y agradable, también de algunas fotos encantadoras de hacer.

"Old the donkey and old the truck"... My village is certainly a place full of contrasts, which never ceases to enchant me deeply. So it is very easy and frequent to turn a corner and come across a scene like this: a donkey loaded with tools, tied to a truck from the 60's, while its owner (the donkey's owner) is in a nearby bar having a drink.

"Viejo el burro y viejo el camión"... Mi pueblo, es un lugar repleto de contrastes ciertamente, eso nunca deja de encantarme profundamente. Así que es muy fácil y frecuente doblar en una esquina y encontrarse de frete con escenas como esta: Un burrito cargado de aperos, atado a un camión de los años 60, mientras su dueño (el del burro) está en un bar cercano bebiendo un trago.

"José Luis is going to sing", My friend José Luis walks down from his home in the mountains to the village, carrying his musical instrument in a cloth backpack. José Luis earns some money by singing live in bars and sometimes on the local radio in the village.

"José Luis va a cantar", Mi amigo José Luis desciende desde su casa en las montañas hacia el pueblo, lleva su instrumento musical en una mochila de tela. José Luis gana algún dinero cantando en vivo en bares y a veces e las radio local del pueblo.
