¡Hola queridos amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Hoy estoy aquí nuevamente con algunas de mis "Historias Robadas" para ser compartidas con ustedes en en reto #monomad.. ¡Vayamos ahora por las fotos!

"Terio (Emeterio)"/_{"Terio (Emeterio)"}

Meeting "Terio" (a diminutive of his name "Emeterio" used by everyone here to name him) in the streets is synonymous with coming face to face with the naivety typical of many of the people of our countryside. Terio is a simple, eloquent man, always ready for a pleasant greeting and a long conversation. He lives on the outskirts of the village, but often works in the mountains where his family has some land and a few cows. Terio is recovering from a very hard period, where he suffered depression after the death of his older brother and his father. But Terio seems to be getting over that stage and is often found in the streets of the village again, always with his characteristic eloquence.

Encontrar a "Terio" (diminutivo de su nombre "Emeterio" usado por todos aquí para nombrarle) en las calles es sinónimo de encontrarse cara ca cara con la ingenuidad típica de muchas de las personas de nuestros campos. Terio es un hombre sencillo, elocuente, siempre dispuesto para un saludo ameno y largamente conversado. Vive en las margenes del pueblo, pero suele trabajar en las montañas en donde su familia tiene algunos terrenos y algunas vacas. Terio está recuperándose de un período muy duro, en donde sufrió depresión por la muerte de su hermano mayor y de su padre. Pero Terio parece estar ya superando esa etapa y es frecuente encontrarlo en las calles del pueblo nuevamente, siempre con su característica elocuencia.

"Justino"/_"Justino"

Justino is almost a child and is one of those things that happens that makes you feel good about going out on the streets and taking photographs. I didn't know Justino, I didn't even remember seeing him in the streets of the village, I guess the difference in our ages has caused this. However, one day I met him in the street and he simply said to me after greeting me: "Can you take a photo of me right now?" Obviously I said yes and without any warning I shot this portrait almost without him being able to prepare himself (this is the best way to take this kind of photos). Then I asked Justino if he wanted me to send this photo to any of his social media accounts and he answered: "No, just put it on your Facebook and Instagram, I want to be there and for everyone to see me"... Haaa haaa haaa haaa 😂... It seems that young people are also finding it good to appear in my photos!... Good for me!...

Justino es casi un niño y es uno de esos casos de cosas que ocurren y que hacen sentir bien con esto de salir a las calles y hacer fotografías. A Justino yo no le conocía, ni siquiera recordaba haberlo visto en las calles del pueblo, supongo que la diferencia de nuestras edades ha causado esto. Sin embargo, un día lo encontré en la calle y simplemente me dijo después de saludarme: ¿Usted me puede hacer una foto en este momento?... Obviamente le contesté que sí y sin previo aviso le disparé este retrato casi sin que él pudiese prepararse (es así cuando mejor se hacen este tipo de fotos). Luego le pregunté a Justino si quería que le enviara esta foto alguna cuenta suya en las redes sociales y él contestó: "No, solo coloquela en su Facebook y en su Instagram, quiero estar allí y que todos me vean"... Haaa haaa haaa 😂... ¡Tal parece que a la gente joven también le está pareciendo bueno aparecer en mis fotos!... ¡Bien por mi!...

"Mrs. Helena"/_{"Doña Helena"}

As usual, Doña Helena, almost 80 years old, mops the entrance of her house with an energy that some young people wish they had!.... When I was a child of about 10 or 12 years old, I used to spend long hours playing with Joselo, one of Helena's sons who is the same age as me, and she used to prepare cakes and fruit juices for us to snack on while we were there... Nowadays Doña Helena still greets me with her characteristic joy every time I pass by her house... She even blesses me like my mother and aunts do!... Joselo is still my friend too, but he works far away from the village and I see him very seldom.

¡Como es usual, Doña Helena con sus casi 80 años de edad, trapea la entrada de su casa con una energía tal que ya quisieran algunos jóvenes tener!... Cuando yo era un niño de unos 10 o 12 años, solía pasar largos ratos jugando en con Joselo, uno de los hijos de Helena el cual es de mi misma edad, entonces ella preparaba pasteles y jugos de frutas para que nosotros merendásemos mientras estábamos allí... Hoy en día Doña Helena sigue saludándome con su característica alegría cada vez que paso por su casa... ¡Inclusive me hecha la bendición como suelen hacerlo mi madre y mis tías!... Joselo también sigue siendo mi amigo, pero trabaja lejos del pueblo y le veo pocas veces.

"Not very safe, but charming"/_{"No muy seguro, pero encantador"}

Walking in the middle of the street while a farm tractor is passing by you, may not be the epitome of "road safety" as such... But in this town nobody seems to take these things into account too much!... So this scene of my friend Angel driving his tractor while he is greeting his sister, his niece and the little son, perhaps exposes something quite "insecure" but it does not stop having the typical charm of these streets where the rural and the urban are frequently intertwined.

Caminar por el medio de la calle mientras un tractor agrícola transita a tu lado, quizás no sea el epítome de la "seguridad vial" como tal... ¡Pero en este pueblo nadie parece tener demasiado en cuenta estas cosas!... Así que esta escena de mi amigo Ángel manejando su tractor mientras va saludando a su hermana, su sobrina y el pequeño hijo de esta, quizás exponga algo bastante "inseguro" pero no deja de tener el encanto típico de estas calles en donde lo rural y lo urbano se entrelazan con frecuencia.

"Emilio"/_"Emilio"

Many of you have probably already seen Emilio in other of my publications... For a long time I didn't know the name of this man whom I saw for the first time sweeping in an abandoned park. His story is complex, as he was born with a special condition which limits him in many ways. But Emilio tries to move forward and today he is still sweeping and is employed by the municipality, they pay him a salary and cover the costs of his medicines.

A Emilio seguramente ya muchos de ustedes le habrán visto en otras de mis publicaciones... Yo estuve mucho tiempo sin saber el nombre de este hombre al cual vi por primera vez barriendo en un parque abandonado. Su historia es compleja, pues nació con una condición especial la cual lo limita en varios aspectos. Pero Emilio procura seguir adelante y hoy por hoy sigue barriendo y está contratado por la Municipalidad, le pagan un sueldo y cubren los gastos inherentes a sus medicinas.

The day I took these photos I talked with Emilio for a long time. What I like about Emilio is the enthusiasm he puts into his daily work. For him it has been a good thing, as it allows him to earn a living, cover his medical expenses and keep the small squares and the streets around them quite clean. In addition, many people stop and talk to him for a while, which also makes Emilio happy.

El día que hice estas fotos conversé con Emilio un buen rato. Lo que me gusta de Emilio es el entusiasmo que pone en su trabajo diario. Para él ha sido algo bueno, pues le permite ganarse su sustento, cubrir sus gastos médicos y mantener las pequeñas plazas y sus calles alrededor bastante limpias. Además, muchas personas se detienen y conversan un poco con él, eso también hace alegrar a Emilio.

"A street, a picture..."/_{"Una calle, una foto..."}

It's funny, but sometimes I'm walking along the streets and I think: "Gee, I don't see anything to photograph" and then I just look ahead, as in this occasion of the photo above and I resolve that "there's a photo there".... It's something simple, but at the same time of a complexity that has to do with the eloquence of the everyday... There I see a teacher on her way to work at school, a man backlit on his bicycle crossing the corner, possibly on his way to work, a woman appearing on the right, the shadows of the people in the fog in the background, the street lighting cables, the houses... There always seems to be a picture in the street!... The whole thing, perhaps, is to sharpen your gaze and shoot!

Es curioso, pero a veces voy por las calles caminando y pienso: "Caray, no veo ninguna cosa para fotografiar" y entonces simplemente miro al frente, como en esta ocasión de la foto de arriba y resuelvo que "allí hay una foto"... Es algo simple, pero al mismo tiempo de una complejidad que tiene que ver con la elocuencia de lo cotidiano... Allí veo a una maestra yendo hacia su trabajo en la escuela, un hombre a contraluz sobre su bicicleta cruzando en la esquina yendo posiblemente a su trabajo, una mujer apareciendo en la derecha, las sombras de las personas inmersas en la niebla al fondo, los cables del alumbrado, las casas... ¡Siempre parece haber una foto en la calle!... ¡El todo, quizás sea, aguzar la mirada y disparar!
