How to Make Banana Getuk

Well, this weekend I will share the recipe for getuk cake which is processed using bananas, usually getuk is processed using sweet potatoes and of course it is quite delicious. Getuk comes from Indonesia, precisely the island of Java. So, for those of you who are interested in this recipe, just read on and good luck.

Well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make banana getuk are very simple and you can buy them at the nearest supermarket or market. The first ingredients you have to prepare are rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, salt, vanilla powder, 1 large banana and a cake mold. After you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's get started.

The first step, what you have to do first is peel the bananas that you have prepared and cut the bananas into several parts like the photo above. Make sure you use a slightly larger type of banana.

The second step, after you have cut the bananas into several parts, then prepare the steamer and arrange the banana pieces in the steamer. Then, steam the bananas for about 20 minutes so that the bananas are more ripe.

The third step, while waiting for the bananas to be steamed, now prepare a cake mold and apply cooking oil in all the cake molds evenly. You can use a cake mold with a shape according to your wishes.

The fourth step, after all the cake molds have been smeared with cooking oil until they are finished, the next thing you have to do is prepare a place and put all the bananas that you have steamed before. Then, mash the bananas with a pestle or blender.

The fifth step, after you have finished mashing the bananas, then add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of rice flour. Then, stir until the flour is evenly mixed with a spoon.

The sixth step, after the flour has been stirred until well blended, then add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, half a teaspoon of salt and 1 sachet of vanilla powder. Then, stir again the mixture until well blended.

The seventh step, after the dough is finished, stir until well blended, then all you have to do is put all the dough into all the cake molds that you have smeared with cooking oil. Make sure you put the dough is not too full.

The last step, after all the dough has been put into the cake mold to completion, now prepare the steamer and preheat the steamer for 10 minutes. After the steamer is hot, enter the cake mold and steam for about 30 minutes over medium heat.

And finally, you can serve banana getuk and sell it to your family or relatives.
