How to Make Bitter Gourd Vla Coconut Milk

Do you like it ? Please provide your suggestions below this post. Well, on this sunny Monday, Ema and I don't get tired of giving all of you unique cakes or foods. This cake is named Pare Cake mixed with coconut milk. why this cake is called bitter melon cake, because this pare cake is shaped like the original bitter melon. Well, the ingredients for making this bitter gourd cake are of course very simple and also cheap, you can buy all the ingredients for this recipe at the nearest supermarket or market in your city. The first ingredients you have to prepare are glutinous rice flour, brown sugar, sugar, salt, white coconut, coconut milk, a few pandan leaves, pandan paste, mineral water and 1 tablespoon of rice flour. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making the coconut milk pare vla cake.

The first step, what you have to do first is prepare a pan and put 100 ml of mineral water, 1 pandan leaf, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, half a teaspoon of salt and 150 grams of brown sugar. after that, cook and stir until the brown sugar is completely dissolved using only medium heat.

the second step, after the brown sugar has been cooked until dissolved, then add 200 grams of white coconut into the pan and cook until the brown sugar water is absorbed and slightly dry. after that, set aside the grated coconut that has been mixed well with brown sugar water.

the third step, after the coconut is ready and set aside, the next thing you have to do is prepare a frying pan and put 300 ml of coconut milk, half a teaspoon of salt and a piece of pandan leaf. after that, cook and stir continuously until the coconut milk doesn't break over medium heat until the coconut milk boils. once done, let the coconut milk warm a little.

the fourth step, after the coconut milk has been left slightly warm for a few minutes, then prepare a place and put 270 grams of glutinous rice flour. then, put all the warm coconut milk into the dough and 1 teaspoon of pandan paste. after that, knead the dough by hand until the dough can be shaped and smooth.

the fifth step, after the dough has been kneaded until it can be shaped and smooth, then all you have to do is prepare a work mat and put the dough on the work mat. after that, cut the dough and round the dough with each dough weighing 25 grams.

the sixth step, after the dough has been cut and rounded, then take 1 dough and shape the dough like a bowl in your hands. then, enter the coconut core that you have previously set aside into the dough and close the dough tightly. Repeat this step until all the dough is filled with coconut core.

seventh step, after all the dough has been filled with coconut core, then form the dough with an oval shape and give strokes using a spoon or the like to make it more similar to bitter melon. repeat this step until finished.

the eighth step, after all the dough has been shaped like bitter melon, then all you have to do is prepare a steamer and heat it for 5 minutes first. after the steamer is hot, then coat the steamer with banana leaves and apply cooking oil evenly over the banana leaves. Then, arrange the dough in the steamer like the photo above and steam for about 20 minutes. every 7 seconds you have to open the steamer so that the dough does not expand.

the last step, while the dough is being steamed, now we will make coconut milk vla. First, prepare a frying pan and put 350 ml of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of rice flour that has been dissolved in water, half a teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pandan leaf. after that, cook and stir the coconut milk until it thickens and boils like bubbles.

and finally, you can enjoy the bitter gourd with coconut milk vla with your family and friends. The way to serve bitter melon cake is very simple, you can put some bitter gourd on a plate and mix coconut milk into the plate according to your wishes. very simple and certainly make your days very pleasant.
