How to Make Cassava Tapai Sponge With Cheese

Tapai is a snack from fermentation as a yeast substrate. Usually, in Indonesia or in other neighboring countries, this tapai is usually a substrate of glutinous rice and cassava tubers. Well, to make sponge cake with cheese topping, the ingredients you have to prepare are certainly not many and you can get these ingredients at the nearest supermarket. The first ingredients you have to prepare are tapai, eggs, cornstarch, sugar, salt, wheat flour, grated cheese, sweetened condensed milk, baking powder and margarine. after you have prepared the following ingredients, now let's start the first step of making this tapai sponge.

the first step, what you have to do first is, prepare a frying pan and put enough water, then put a small bowl that has been inserted 3 tablespoons of margarine. Then, stir the margarine using a spoon until the margarine is completely melted.

the second step, after you have melted the margarine until finished, now set the margarine aside. first, prepare a medium-sized place, then, put the tapai as much as you want, 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Next, mash the tapai and other ingredients until smooth and well mixed using a fork or mortar.

the third step, after the tapai dough has been mixed well and smooth, now add 10 tablespoons of medium protein flour, a tablespoon of cornstarch and half a teaspoon of baking soda into the dough. Then, stir the mixture until well blended.

the fourth step, after the dough is stirred until well mixed, now prepare a glass, put 1 sachet of sweetened condensed milk and 125 ml of water into the glass, then stir until the sweetened condensed milk is well mixed.

the fifth step, after you have prepared the sweetened condensed milk, now we will return to the previous tapai dough. Next, enter the sweetened condensed milk that you just made, 3 eggs and the margarine that you melted in the first step. Then, stir the mixture until all the ingredients are evenly mixed.

the sixth step, after you have kneaded the dough until it is well mixed, now all you have to do is grate the cheese to your liking and put all the cheese into the dough. Then, stir the mixture again until the grated cheese is evenly mixed.

seventh step, after the grated cheese has been mixed well, now prepare a square pan and spread margarine evenly in the square pan. then, put the parchment paper in a square pan and spread the margarine evenly on the parchment paper.

the eighth step, after you have spread the margarine evenly in the square pan, now put the dough evenly into the square pan and tap it several times so that no air is trapped in the dough.

the ninth step, after you have put the dough into a square pan, now all you have to do is prepare the oven and preheat the oven for 5 minutes. then, after you have preheated the oven for 5 minutes, now put the square tin into the oven and bake the dough at 180 degrees Celsius, with top and bottom fire for 25 minutes.

the last step, after you have finished baking the dough for 25 minutes, now remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the dough. after you have finished sprinkling the grated cheese evenly over the dough, now put the dough back into the oven and bake the dough again for 20 to 25 minutes. why don't I put grated cheese at the beginning? because if I put grated cheese at the beginning, the grated cheese will burn quickly.

and finally, the sponge cake with cheese topping can be enjoyed together with your family and friends. The taste of this sponge is slightly saltier because of the tapai and cheese that have been mixed in the dough.
