How to Make Cilok With Peanut Sauce

Well, so today I will make a snack that is similar to meatballs but not meatballs. Cilok is a snack that comes from Bandung and uses wheat flour and tapioca flour, the method of making cilok is almost the same as meatballs. Cilok is usually eaten with spicy or sweet spices, so I will make peanut sauce to eat with cilok. Well, for those of you who are interested in this peanut sauce cilok, just take a look at the recipe below until it's finished and I hope you succeed in making this peanut sauce cilok. Well, the ingredients and spices that you have to prepare to make peanut sauce cilok are certainly not expensive and you can buy them around your house. The first thing you have to prepare is peanuts, tapioca flour, wheat flour, salt, mineral water, leeks, celery leaves, onions, garlic, tamarind, red chilies, brown sugar, flavorings and pepper. After you have prepared the spices and ingredients for making peanut sauce, now let's start with the first step.

The first step, what you have to do first is prepare 1 place, then put 10 tablespoons of tapioca flour and 6 tablespoons of medium protein flour. Then stir the two flours until well blended.

The second step, after you've stirred the two flours until well blended, now add spices such as half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of pepper and half a teaspoon of flavoring. Then stir again the dry mixture until the spices are evenly mixed.

The third step, after you have stirred the dry mixture until the spices are evenly mixed, now prepare a plate and cut into small pieces 1 leek and 1 celery leaf, then prepare 3 garlic and chop the garlic until it is really smooth like the photo above.

The fourth step, after you have prepared the pieces of celery, leeks and also finely sliced garlic, now add 150 ml of mineral water into the dough. Then stir the mixture until well blended.

The fifth step, after you have stirred the dough until it is well mixed, now put all the pieces of celery and leeks into the dough, then knead the dough by hand until the leeks and celery leaves are evenly mixed. Make sure you wash your hands before kneading the dough.

The sixth step, after you have kneaded the dough until it is well mixed and soft, now take a little dough and round the dough to the size of an adult thumb until it is done. Don't forget to put cooking oil on the plate where you want to put the dough.

The seventh step, after you have rounded all the dough to completion, now prepare a frying pan and put enough water, then put enough cooking oil into the water so that the dough does not stick when boiled. Then put all the cilok into the pan and boil the cilok until all the cilok float.

The eighth step, after you are done with cilok, now prepare some ingredients and spices to make peanut sauce. First prepare, soaking tamarind water, brown sugar, flavoring, peanuts, onions, garlic and red chilies.

The ninth step, after you have prepared the ingredients and spices to make peanut sauce, now prepare a frying pan and put enough cooking oil into the pan, then put all the nuts into the pan and fry the peanuts until the beans are brown in color using medium heat.

The tenth step, after you have fried the beans until they are brown, move the beans to another place. Then, reserving a little cooking oil from the previous twelve frying peanuts, then put some red chilies to your liking, 4 peeled garlic and 5 red onions that you have peeled. Then, saute all the ingredients until all look wilted.

The eleventh step, after you have finished frying everything, now prepare a blender and put the fried peanuts and also all the ingredients that have been previously stir-fried into the blender. Don't forget to add enough mineral water to the blender and blend everything until completely smooth.

The twelfth step, after you have smoothed the spices using a blender, now put all the peanut spices in a frying pan that already has cooking oil. Then cook and stir the peanut sauce continuously over medium heat until the peanut sauce bubbles out. Then add a little water so that the peanut sauce doesn't dry out.

The last step, after you have cooked and stirred until the peanut sauce bubbles, now add some other spices such as half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of pepper, half a teaspoon of flavoring and tamarind soaking water. For another option, you can add 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce to the peanut sauce. After that, stir again the peanut sauce until well blended and boiling.

And finally, cilok with peanut sauce can be eaten together with your family and friends. Well, how to eat cilok with peanut sauce, there are 2 options, first you can put all the cilok into a bowl, then put the peanut sauce into the bowl and stir until all the cilok is mixed with the peanut sauce. The second option, you can use a stick to stab the cilok and you can dip the cilok with peanut sauce.
