How to Make Durian Bolen

Well, on this sunny Wednesday, Ema and I will share a recipe with processed durian. Because durian is my favorite fruit, so I am very happy to make a snack using durian. Bolen has been modified a lot with various flavors, one of which is like the one I made today. How to make this Bolen is also not too difficult and easy. So, for those of you who are interested, just take a look at the recipe below and good luck.

Well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make this Durian Bolen are of course very cheap, you can get them at the nearest supermarket or market in your city. The first ingredients you have to prepare are wheat flour, margarine, powdered sugar, salt, durian, mineral water and several kinds of toppings such as almonds, messes, roasted nuts and cheese. After you have prepared all the ingredients for this recipe, now let's get started.

The first step, what you have to do first is to separate all the durian flesh from the durian seeds. Make sure you use a good quality durian so that Bolen Durian is more delicious.

The second step, after you have separated the durian flesh from the seeds, then we will make dough A. First, prepare a place, put 100 grams of flour and 75 grams of margarine. Then, knead until it becomes a dough and also smooth.

The third step, after dough A is smooth, then wrap dough A in plastic and put it in the refrigerator so that the dough rests for about 15 or 20 minutes.

The fourth step, while dough A is being put into the refrigerator, now we will make dough B. First, prepare a place, put 200 grams of flour, 75 grams of margarine, 30 grams of powdered sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Then, stir until the dough becomes like grains of sand.

The fifth step, after the dough B has been stirred until it becomes a grain of sand, then add 80 ml of mineral water and knead the dough again until the dough becomes soft or smooth. Then, wrap dough B with plastic and put dough B into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.

The sixth step, after the two doughs are finished, the next thing you have to do is take dough A, cut and weigh the dough with each dough weighing 11 grams. Then, round all the dough and set aside.

The seventh step, after the dough A has been cut and rounded, then take the dough B, cut and weigh the dough B with each dough weighing 25 grams. Then, round all the dough B until it's done and set aside.

The eighth step, after the dough A and B have been cut, now take 1 dough B, flatten the dough and put dough A on top of dough B which has been flattened. Then, fold the dough B like the photo above.

The ninth step, after you have done as in the previous step, now fold the B dough like an envelope. Then, flatten the dough like the first B dough and fold the dough again like an envelope fold. Repeat the eighth and ninth steps until done.

The tenth step, after you have done the previous steps correctly, now all you have to do is close the dough and let the dough relax for about 15 minutes depending on your room temperature.

The eleventh step, after the dough has relaxed for 15 minutes, now take 1 dough and flatten the dough until it is thin. Then, put enough durian meat on top of the dough and then fold the dough to cover the durian meat with a folded envelope. Repeat this step until everything is done.

The twelfth step, after all the dough has been filled with durian meat and has been folded properly, then arrange the dough on a baking sheet that has been smeared with margarine and spread the egg yolk over all the dough until it's finished. Then, sprinkle some cheese, messe and nuts toppings according to your wishes.

The last step, after everything is done, then prepare the oven and preheat the oven for 10 minutes. After the oven is hot, put the baking sheet into the oven and bake the dough at a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius, on a low flame for about 40 or 50 minutes depending on the oven you use.

And finally, you can serve Durian Bolen to your family or friends. For those of you who are durian lovers, I really recommend this snack. i've had not so good experiences with durian even though they're a local fruit here, and it all started when i tasted durian flavored ice cream- the can still remember the aftertaste 😅 but this recipe of yours looks very promising, and i hope the durian being baked here will lessen it's overwhelming flavor 😄 thank you for sharing about this!
