How to Make Kastengel Cake

Well, on Tuesday, Ema and I will share another cake recipe for all of you, the name of this cake is Kastengel and the method of making Kastengel cake is of course very easy and does not require a lot of money and time. Kastengel cake comes from the Netherlands and the name Kastengel itself means cheese and fingers. Well, the ingredients for making Kastengel cake certainly don't require a lot of money and time, you can buy all of these ingredients at the supermarket or the nearest market in your house. The first ingredients you have to prepare are margarine, butter, powdered sugar, cornstarch, flour, cheese, powdered milk and 2 egg yolks. after you have prepared all the ingredients for making kastengel cake, now let's start the first step.
the first step, what you have to do first is prepare a place and put 100 grams of butter and 100 grams of margarine. Next, stir using a whisk until the two ingredients are well mixed.
the second step, after the butter and margarine have been stirred until well blended, then all you have to do is prepare a sieve and sift 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar until there are no lumps of powdered sugar.
the third step, after the powdered sugar has been sifted until there are no lumps, then add 1 egg yolk into the mixture and then stir again using a whisk until the egg yolks are evenly mixed.
the fourth step, after the egg yolks have been stirred until well blended, then add the cheese that you have grated into the dough. You can adjust the grated cheese to your liking. use good quality grated cheese so that the Kastengel cake tastes more delicious.
the fifth step, after the grated cheese has been stirred until well blended, then all you have to do is prepare a sieve and sift 20 or 25 tablespoons of flour, 1 sachet of powdered milk and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Sift the three ingredients until there are no lumps and knead until the dough is completely smooth.
the sixth step, after you are done with the dough, then prepare a work mat and clean plastic, then put the dough on clean plastic and cover the dough with clean plastic too. Next, flatten the dough with a rolling pin to the thickness you want.
seventh step, after you have flattened the dough to your liking, then spread the egg yolks evenly on top of the flattened dough and then sprinkle grated cheese on top of the dough to your liking. Next, press a little cheese so that it sticks perfectly to the surface. batter.
the eighth step, after you have sprinkled the grated cheese on top of the dough, the next thing you have to do is cut the dough to the size you want. well, to be neater and nicer, you can use a ruler so that the length and width are the same.
the ninth step, after you have cut the dough to completion, then prepare a baking sheet and arrange the dough neatly like the photo above.
the last step, after you have arranged the dough on the baking sheet that you have prepared, the next thing you have to do is prepare the oven and preheat the oven for 10 minutes. after the oven is hot, then enter the baking sheet and bake the dough at a temperature of 140 to 150 degrees Celsius, fire up and down for 40 minutes depending on the oven you use.
and finally, after going through the baking process for 40 minutes, you can eat Kastengel cake with your family and friends.
