How to Make Lemon Pound Cake

Well, on the first day of 2022, Emma and I will share a cake recipe made from lemon. Well, to make this lemon pound cake, of course it doesn't require a lot of ingredients and money, you can buy all these ingredients at the nearest supermarket. The first ingredients you have to prepare are 3 fresh lemons, 4 eggs, baking soda, granulated sugar, vanilla powder, unsalted butter, medium protein flour, salt and powdered sugar. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of preparing the lemon pound cake dough.

the first step, what you have to do first is to prepare 1 lemon and grated, then grate the lemon peel in the yellow part just don't get it on the white lemon skin, because if you grate the white lemon peel, the cake dough tastes very bitter. grate until done.

the second step, after you have grated the yellow lemon peel to completion, now all you have to do is squeeze 1 fresh lemon until the lemon juice runs out. you can adjust according to your wishes.

the third step, after you have squeezed the lemon until it is finished, now all you have to do is prepare a bowl and put 20 tablespoons of medium protein flour, half a teaspoon of baking powder and grated lemon zest that you have previously grated. then set aside first.

the fourth step, after you have set the dry dough aside, now all you have to do is enter 180grams of unsalted butter into the mixer and mix it using a mixer until it expands.

the fifth step, after you have mixed the unsalted butter until it expands, now add 165 grams of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt and 2 sachets of vanilla powder. Then, mix again until the sugar is dissolved and well mixed.

the sixth step, after you have a mixer until the sugar is dissolved and well mixed, now add one egg at a time into the dough as much as 4 eggs. every 1 egg that you put into the dough, you have to mix it first and so on like that until 4 eggs.

seventh step, after all the eggs have been put into the dough and have been mixed, now all you have to do is enter half the flour mixture that you previously prepared and half the lemon juice that you squeezed earlier. then, mix until well blended, then add the remaining flour and lemon juice into the dough again, then mix again until well blended. means you have to enter 2 times the flour mixture and also lemon juice.

the eighth step, after you have mixed the flour mixture and also lemon water until well mixed, now prepare a baking sheet that you have lined with baking paper in the pan, then slowly enter the dough into the pan. Then, tap the pan so that no air is trapped in the pan.

the ninth step, after you have put the dough into the pan, then prepare the oven and preheat it for about 10 minutes. then, after you have preheated the oven for 10 minutes, now put the baking sheet into the oven and bake the dough at a temperature of 170 degrees Celsius, with fire up and down for 45 to 50 minutes depending on the oven you use.

tenth step, while waiting for the dough to be baked, now we will make the topping for the lemon pound cake, now prepare 1 bowl and put 150 grams of powdered sugar and add enough lemon juice to your liking, about 4 to 5 tablespoons of lemon juice. Then, stir with a spoon until the texture turns thick.

the last step, after you have prepared the topping for the lemon pound cake, now we will return to the dough that is being baked. Remove the pan from the oven and remove the lemon pound cake, then spread it evenly with the topping on top of the lemon pound cake.

and finally, after you have given the topping on the lemon pound cake evenly, now the lemon pound cake can be served to your friends and family. This cake is very suitable to serve for family events or birthdays. the taste is very good and the texture of the cake is very soft. I highly recommend this cake for you lemon lovers.
