How to Make Purple Sweet Potato Klepon

Well, on this sunny day, Ema and I will share the klepon cake recipe for you, I have previously made this klepon cake with pandan, now I will make this klepon cake with purple sweet potato. well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make purple sweet potato klepon are certainly not many and complicated, you can buy all the ingredients for this recipe at the nearest supermarket or market in your city. The first ingredients you have to prepare are glutinous rice flour, purple sweet potato, sugar, salt, brown sugar, white coconut, pandan leaves and warm coconut milk. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making purple sweet potato klepon.

The first step, what you have to do first is prepare a steamer and preheat the steamer for a few minutes. after that, prepare the purple sweet potato and cut the sweet potato. then, steam the purple sweet potato until completely cooked.

the second step, after the purple sweet potato has been steamed until cooked, now all you have to do is prepare good quality brown sugar and then finely chop the brown sugar until it's done. You can adjust brown sugar to your liking.

the third step, after the brown sugar has been finely chopped to completion, the next thing you have to do is remove the purple sweet potato from the steamer and then puree the purple sweet potato using a spoon or you can use a blender to make it more practical. you can see the photo above.

the fourth step, after you have smoothed the sweet potato until it is finished, then prepare a place and put 200 grams of glutinous rice flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Then, stir the dry mixture until well blended using a spoon only.

the fifth step, after the dry mixture has been stirred until well blended, then all you have to do is put all the sweet potatoes that you have mashed and put enough warm coconut milk. then, knead the dough until well blended and also smooth.

the sixth step, after the dough has been kneaded until it is completely smooth, then all you have to do is prepare a pan, put enough mineral water and a pandan leaf. Then, boil the water until it boils.

seventh step, while the water is being cooked until it boils, then take a little dough and then round the dough like the photo above and put enough coconut filling into the dough. You can use other fillings according to your wishes. After that, close the dough tightly.

the eighth step, after you have prepared all the dough, then put all the dough into boiling water and then boil. if the dough floats, that's a sign that the dough is cooked and you can remove it from the pan. Boil over medium heat only.

the last step, after you have boiled all the klepon until cooked, then what you have to do is smear all the klepon into the coconut that you prepared beforehand to finish.

and finally, after all the klepon has been smeared into grated coconut, now you can serve this purple sweet potato klepon to your family or friends.
