How to Make Smeer Bread

Happy Wednesday to all of you who are just at home or working in the office, I hope you are all fine without any problems. well, so today I will make smeer bread, does this bread have a history why is this bread called smeer bread? according to several articles that I read, this bread has been around for a long time and they named this bread with smeer, because they smeared or polished the inside of the bread using butter. This bread comes from the city of Solo, Indonesia and this bread is quite difficult to find in traditional markets. Well, for those of you who like this bread but it's hard to find it, you can follow this recipe to completion. good luck and good luck.

well, to make this smeer bread you don't have to prepare much and you can get it at the super market at a cheap price. you can adjust and replace with other brands according to your country. The first ingredients you have to prepare are refined sugar, high protein and low protein flour, margarine, refined sugar, salt, eggs, sweetened condensed milk, grated cheese, yeast, liquid milk and messes. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making smeer bread.

The first step, what you have to do first is prepare a place and put 10 tablespoons of high protein flour, 5 tablespoons of medium protein flour, half a tablespoon of yeast and 4 or 5 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Then, stir the dry mixture until well blended using a spatula.

the second step, after you have stirred the dry mixture until it is evenly mixed, now add enough liquid milk and 1 egg into the dough. then, mix using a mixer until the dough is half smooth or you can also knead by hand. make sure you wash your hands first.

the third step, after you have stirred the dough until it is half smooth by using your hands or a mixer, now add 2 tablespoons of margarine and half a teaspoon of salt into the dough. then, knead the dough by hand until the dough is smooth and soft like the photo above.

the fourth step, after the dough has been kneaded by hand until smooth, now cover the dough using a clean cloth and let the dough double for about half an hour. So far, what do you think? are you having trouble? give your feedback below this post.

the fifth step, after the dough has been allowed to double for half an hour, now prepare a work mat and sprinkle with flour so that the dough does not stick. what you should know, the steps for making bread are almost similar to the bread that I have made before. then, cut the dough into 10 parts like the photo above or you can weigh the dough so that all the dough is the same size.

the sixth step, after you have cut the dough into 10 parts of the same size, now all you have to do is round all the dough, then place it on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper previously. Don't forget to spread the margarine evenly on the parchment paper so that the dough doesn't stick.

seventh step, after all the dough has been rounded, now all you have to do is spread the egg yolk evenly on the top of the dough. You can see the photo above so you don't get it wrong.

the eighth step, after the dough is ready to be spread, now prepare the oven and preheat the oven for about 7 minutes. then, after the oven is hot, put the pan into the oven and bake the dough at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius, fire up and down for 20 to 30 minutes depending on the oven you use.

the ninth step, while the dough is being baked for 30 minutes, now we will spread margarine on the bread. First prepare a small bowl, then put 4 or 5 tablespoons of margarine and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Then, mix until the margarine and powdered sugar are well blended.

tenth step, after the powdered sugar and margarine have been mixed until well blended, now add 1 sachet of sweetened condensed milk into the bowl. If you don't want the margarine spread not too sweet, you can adjust the sweetened condensed milk. Then, stir by using until the sweetened condensed milk is well blended.

the last step, after you have finished spreading the margarine in the bread, now all you have to do is remove the bread from the oven, then split the 2 breads like the photo above, then spread margarine on the bread and sprinkle messes or cheese according to your wishes. Then, close come back with the bread you cut. Repeat this step until all the bread has been spread with margarine and sprinkled with cheese or messes.

and finally, after all the bread has been filled with margarine and messe, now you can serve it to your friends and family. the taste is very soft and the texture of the bread is quite soft when bitten. I quite enjoy this bread and you can sell this bread at a fairly cheap price.
