What you have to buy and prepare to make this Wajik traditional food is glutinous rice that has been soaked overnight, brown sugar, salt, sugar, coconut milk, mineral water and finally pandan leaves. There are not so many ingredients that you have to prepare, after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making traditional Wajik food.

The first step, what you have to do in this first step is to cook the glutinous rice that you have prepared beforehand, you can adjust the glutinous rice according to your wishes. Cook the glutinous rice until the water in the pan reduces and you have to keep stirring the glutinous rice until done using medium heat.

The second step, after the glutinous rice has been cooked until the water in the pan has shrunk, now prepare a steamer and put all the cooked glutinous rice into the steamer, then steam the glutinous rice for about 25 minutes on medium heat. Make sure you check the glutinous rice periodically and stir it so that it cooks perfectly.

After that, cook and stir the coconut milk until well blended and the color of the coconut milk changes to brown.

The fifth step, after the coconut milk is cooked, mixed well and also changes color, now what we do next is, first filter the coconut milk so that there is no brown sugar that is still hard. So far, what do you think? Pretty easy isn't it? Give your feedback below this post.

The eighth step, after you have cooked the glutinous rice until it is well mixed and the coconut milk has shrunk, now prepare a medium-sized baking sheet, then place the banana leaf as a base in the pan so that later you can easily lift the glutinous rice when it is inserted into the pan.

The last step, all you have to do is pour all the glutinous rice and compact it using a spatula so that it is easy for you to cut. After that, cut the Wajik using a very sharp knife or you can coat the knife with plastic so it doesn't stick.
