Making Money With Crypto
The motive for extra source(s) of income has led us to be involved in cryptocurrency. As we are aware cryptocurrency is just over a decade old, and before cryptocurrency investments were multilevel marketing and affiliate marketing amongst others.
If we draw a comparison between cryptocurrency and other sources of income, we will discover cryptocurrency offers different unique ways, that are incomparable to the affiliate marketing, etc. which is one of the reasons we often say we came for the money but stayed for the community and the technology.
Approaching cryptocurrency for immediate returns or with the hope of it replacing our salary is the wrong way and that is the approach most have in mind when getting involved in crypto. And the consequence of that often leads to getting rekt.
Crypto Education
For crypto to thrive and get the mass adoption we seek, there's a lot on our part to do by sharing our knowledge with those open to learning and of course, a lot depends on those keen on cryptocurrency to do their research.
Binance's reach in Africa is extensive, now and then there is a community getting together across the continent. There have been get-togethers recently in South Africa, which I was keen but on second thought I felt it is of no use to me unless am only attending just to network.
It is great when crypto enthusiasts come together over an event, I have never attended one but having to be in the midst of like-minded people over the same subject should be enriching with networking opportunities that could result in striking partnerships.
The impact of these Binance events is unknown to me but what I see in the Binance South Africa Telegram group, calls for crypto education it calls for a lot of enlightening with the core fundamentals of cryptocurrency.
There's a lot on my plate to focus on, therefor you are not going to find me in the Binance group often but whenever I decide to check what they are up to, I am bound to find something interesting.
As seen above is a pensioner that gets $69 monthly and seeks to make money through Binance.
Firstly this person is opening himself or herself to private messages that will offer business to make money, this is where people fall for scams, and the next thing they are in and out of crypto with regrets.
I recall commenting in the group a while ago sharing my knowledge on a topic, but I was ignored like I never existed, crypto education is not encouraged in these groups which is saddening to see. It is more about making money and recruiting.
It will be better to have a crypto community where ideas and knowledge are genuinely shared as we do on Hive, where part of the goal is to educate and talk about decentralization, and self-custody.
If only crypto is approached with a keen interest to learn and understand its fundamentals and the problems it is positioned to solve, we will be having a more healthy crypto space with less loss of money to scams and projects focused on milking people of their money.

I think education is very important for the adoption of crypto and there isn't enough focus on it yet. The sad thing is that those who focus on educating are often met with skeptical looks because the misconceptions has already edge in people's mind. I often wonder about this crypto scammers, will we ever do away with them or will they keep on being here evolving with the space.
Crypto scammers sadly are part of the evolution, I don't see them fading away just like we have bad actors outside of crypto, some will always choose to exploit the system and vulnerable people. Crypto comes with self-responsibility we have to always be cautious at all times.
For the likes of us that are happy to teach and share ideas, we can only do so much.

I think this will be the most difficult and important lesson we have to learn in the crypto space. Some will get it right away, some won't.
We are used to being spoon-fed and baby-sitted some of us will find taking responsibility repelling.

Seeking crypto related assistance from telegram is just like inviting people to scam you. Like you've just indicated, HIVE is the right place for such discussions and it's good that they've just introduced Leo Threads, it'll be a great platform for discussing matters relating to crypto and finance
Even without asking questions in Telegram groups, I get hot ladies texting me for crypto-related opportunities, let alone I start asking for help, I can imagine the number of people that will flood his or her inbox that day.

It takes time to learn the knowledge and these groups focus more on trying to get people to believe them rather than common knowledge. It's a sad reality and most of them will probably learn the hard way. In a way, it's similar to all the guru courses being sold everywhere.

I am not a fan of those guru courses with so much information all over the place, it depends on how we look and search for them. Sadly some will learn the hard way, that is the way I learned anyway.

I love when I meet people who show genuine interest in crypto, it even helps my conversation with them and helps me blurt all I want out easily, their attention to listen is always giving me more energy to go on unlike those who aren’t even interested at all

It is not common to find those that are keen on crypto without judging it based on what they heard in the media or its complexity, when we come across those open to it, the conversation flows, and expressing ourselves is easy when we see the keen reaction from the listener. I have met only very few of those kinds of people.
