Reputation over money

My Reputation on Hive is currently 72.9, I recall Task putting up a post about our Reputation score on Hive some time back and it was an interesting topic to touch on. To put it simple the reputation score holds some level importance, a quick way to lose your reputation is go a against the community rule and you will be having your reputation to an undesirable level which is guaranteed to impact you growth on Hive negatively.

While the fundamental goal is to earn from Hive, keeping one's reputation in good standing with the community can't be over stated. That way one is able to carry his or her activities on the chain capable of resulting in monetary rewards.

A look at reputation beyond Hive.

I completed a freelance Telecoms project last year September, and was only paid 70% of my quotation. So myself and my employer are awaiting when the Chinese will come to the realization we need to be paid our balance.

The project being a mall, have been undergoing renovations, few months back I was called to move two antennas due to renovation in the restaurant. I went on site and had my installation temporarily secured to avoid damage.

I was called for the same purpose with another store last week, which I ended up getting things sorted just two days ago.
Haven been in the Telecom industry for about nine years as a technician, it is expected to leave room for call outs of this kind of course for new payments because my job was done, completed and signed in the first place.

After getting the antenna reinstalled two days ago, the implementation manager from Huawei expressed his appreciation over me coming out each time I get called for issues and not avoiding them.

For me it is about my job, it is about making sure my installed system are in good working condition which ultimately leads to having my reputation intact. It sucks they are owing me $1,328 and that is enough for me to ignore any calls to fix things not of my own doing but am just not wired like that.

Telecommunication industry in South Africa is big and invariably small, word goes around and one's reputation can get easily tarnished without people knowing the reason behind it.
Reputation once lost is lost for good and not the easiest to regain like trust but money, lose it and you sure can get it over and over again.
