I thought you'd take photos of muscular young men in tank top t-shirts which you can see here often working on the roads, Jo ;)
I love to drive or ride on such freshly paved roads and the workers have done their job very well as I can see in your photos - everything looks nice and clean 😁

Haha. no tank tops covering young muscular bodies, Hannes.😄 There were 5 men and one woman in the paving crew, all covered from head to toe with baseball caps and steel toed boots. The foreman knew his stuff, making sure the driveway was graded and the asphalt laid properly.

The fellow on the roller machine had an interesting beard It was not braided but looked to be secured in sections with something, maybe light elastics bands. If I had used the camera, I could have zoomed in closer.

There’s lots of rain and wind right now. Not too bad so far.

sorry for my late reply but I didn't have much time today at work.

A woman as road worker? I have seen women doing such work here too, but very seldom.

I have seen this beard and it looks cool. Mine isn't long enough yet, but maybe this time I will let it grow. I have tried to let the beard grow long for quite a few times and always cut it after a month or two, because I didn't like it anymore 🤣

We will also have a lot of rain over the weekend and they say it's going to be cold.
Teddy will be nice to PEI I believe 😉

There are quite a few women working on the highways as flag people, etc. It’s seasonal work mainly.

It’s not a job i would have been inclined but sometimes women are happier in these kind of occupations.

So you have a beard.-Can’t imagine what you look like. Tying off with elastic bands would keep it neat.

We are having mainly lots of rain and thankfully not so much wind from the hurricane. After this passes there’s a couple weeks of nice weather.

I hope you are not working too hard and your temperatures warm up.🌝

Good morning Jo,

I'm often just to lazy to shave every day, so I have a three-day beard most times, but in the past years I have tried to let it grow a few times. After a while I didn't like it anymore and shaved it, So, you'll never know if I'm shaved or bearded 😉

We have had a thunderstorm with some hail yesterday evening, but this morning it was dry again. From Friday on it will be raining till Monday morning, says the weatherman, but I hope he is wrong, because I would prefer it the opposite way 😊

I whish you also a very nice Thor's day, dear Jo, and hopefully the hurricane will stay a little wind 🤗

I probably wouldn’t recognize you with or without a beard as I’ve never seen a photo.😉

Everything is calm this morning. Hurricane Teddy has passed and is over Newfoundland now. Teddy was 1000 miles (1610 km) wide but weakened by the cool Atlantic waters.

Hurricanes get their energy from warm ocean water and in these instances I am happy to be surrounded by the cooler Atlantic. Teddy mostly brought the Island two days of heavy rain and the wind was below what was expected. The province to the east, Nova Scotia, bore the brunt of it and sort of protected us as Teddy passed.

Last evening I watched a documentary on the life of movie star, Hedy LaMarr. She was from Austria. Not only glamorous but an inventor. It mentioned fall was the best time to visit Austria. I had to smile as I often tell people fall is the best time to visit PEI.

I hope your weather improved dear Hannes and the sun shines on you. 🤗

I hate to get photographed and I hate photos of me ☺️

I'm glad that you've been lucky again and the hurricane has not been so bad.

I have heard of Hedy Lamarr and maybe I have seen movies with her too, but I can't remember.

Fall is certainly a great season to visit Austria, but the best time is when you're here 😁

Today is dry, but the weekend will be wet if the forecast is not wrong.

I hope you get nice weather after the heavy rains, dear Jo 🌞🤗

That's the problem when you reply while you work, because I wanted to add a photo of me, but then someone came in and I clicked on the reply button.

Thanks for the photos. The first photo is hilarious and you seem to be a really small hobbit to the left.😀. Why is everyone around the cross?

You and your wife are just tiny specks on that big beautiful mountain. I see you have your camera set up there on a tripod.

I thought after talking to each other almost every day for such a long time I should show you who I am, although I hate photos of me, but I have said this before already 😉

Great that it's getting warmer on PEI - at the moment it is raining here. I'll see tomorrow if the weatherman was right.

It’s nice to have a realistic picture in the mind’s eye of who we often communicate. 😊

Living so far away, in different countries, I think we are what used to be called pen pals. The same rare Nefertiti symbol was something that got us talking.

I don't like photos of myself either but when I look back on ones from years ago I think they are okay now. Must be an age thing.😱

It was cool last night but Frigg day temperatures are rising this morning.

The many blue jays, junco, squirrel and chipmunks were by for their breakfast. i have to laugh as there is one blue jay who sits on the back deck railing and looks at me through the kitchen window until I put out some food for them. That bird likes to nag me like my Red does. 😆

The rain didn't stop and my bike stays in the garage at my office during the weekend I believe. Maybe I will take it home if the rain stops for a while.

Our temperatures are still quite nice, but I think with all this rain it will cool down soon.

It must look funny watching the scene when you feed all these "wild" animals and they wait till you bring their breakfast 😉
