View the Vista in the Valley | #AlphabetHunt for the letter V

On my hunt for the letter V I have found quite a few words, and the best I have found are right below πŸ˜‰

One more week has gone by and the lovely and great artist Barbara @Barbara-Orenya has rang the bell for the next round of the #AlphabetHunt Challenge in the Feel Good Community, where you have to illustrate 6 words (or concepts) starting with the letter of the week.

Valley

The word Valley has come at first into my mind. The first two photos show the Drautal Valley, where I have grown up, looking towards the sunrise. The little village where my parents live is an about 5 minutes walk to the right.

The next two photos show the river Danube in the Danube Valley. The area around is better known as Wachau. In the first image one you can see the village of DΓΌrnstein in the background and in the second photo there's also the Danube valley, but viewed from the Aggstein Castle.

Violet

Violet is a color which I sometimes mistake with purple. In the first photo I have photographed a clover blossom, and the other two photos show a busy or vivid bee collecting nectar from one of my favorite flowers, the Knautia Arvensis which is also known as Field Scabious.

Vrőič Pass

Most times when I make a trip to the Soča Valley I drive over the 1,611 metres high Vrőič Pass in Slovenia. These photos were taken looking north from a viewpoint below the pass and you might recognize the roof of the house on the pass in the background .

Vista

What means Vista? Wikipedia says Vista usually refers to a distant view. To me it is a beautiful view where I love most such a view from a mountain towards the sunrise or the sunset like in these photos which I have taken at sunset from the Sun Village of Diex where I often take sunset photos, as you might know 😊

Volute

A Snail can also be called Slug, Scroll, Cochlea, Volute or Escargot and I am sure there are even more names. These Volute are Cochlicellidae from the family of small air-breathing land snails. I have found them on a rotten tree trunk.

View

When you take sunrise or sunset photos you should also look behind you, because the View on the opposite site of the rising or setting sun is often more beautiful than the sunrise or sunset itself. I have taken these photos in June this year at the reservoir and although they are not very spectacular, the View has been way better than the actual sunrise behind me.

Vanish

This is the bridge over the river Drau at the reservoir where I am often for a walk or sunrise shooting like in the photos above. I have taken the photo on January 1st, 2020 and the bridge seems to vanish in the thick fog.

I don't add information about the photos when I post for the #AlphabetHunt, because it's all about the words, but all photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4 L IS USM, Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 L STM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

I leave all EXIF and IPTC information stored in the pictures.

All photos are great. Ina liked the waters of the Danube and the fog most of all.
The Danube waters reminded me of paintings by old Italian artists. Very successful hunt my friend!

My favourite is the Volute illustration with this lovely tiny snail,

Lovely selection! You know, mountains always look fantastic to me. But Danube Valley is really beautiful. And of course the first o.e means much more to you ❀

Yes, vanish is also my favorite. Sometimes when I'm at the reservoir the fog is very dense and I get such "scary" images, but I love it 😊

The next letter W seems easy enough but I haven’t given it much thought yet. XYZ may stretch our brains.

Lots of leaves falling on the ground with the wind today. There was a report about leaving a layer of leaves on the ground as it enriches the soil and good for animals during winter. We don’t rake them here as they blow into the forest anyway.πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ

Hi Jo,

I have my W photos and since I'm working tomorrow I will have enough time to add a few words. I will need the next days to search for the remaining letters which is going to be really hard for me 😁

There are not so much leaves on the ground yet. I have no idea what's better for the soil, to leave the leaves or to rake them. In nature nobody rakes them and it seems to be good that way. But I think it's different when you have a lawn, and people want to have it clean.

Good to know you were brought up close to a valley.
I didn't grow up close to a valley anyway, but I do go once in a while to visit them. When I was younger, I used to get scared of climbing them cause I might slip and fall while walking up.

When i started thinking about this week hunt and word valley popped up in my mind I thought of you, because you have stunning photos of valleys and you did not disappoint me. You have another set of wonderful trophies. Vanish is by far my favourite. Thinking about how many times I missed the view on the opposite side of the sunset or sunrise, next time I will make sure to look at the other direction.

Fantastic hunt trophies! But first off, I think for me, Vanishing takes the cake here. Great capture. We both found the word View but the Valley and the Vrsic Pass photos are quite good. Picture perfect, so to speak. Vistas would be a very close relative of View and your pictures are just how you described the word - beautiful from afar. Volute is definitely a unique one this week.

Seems like you did a bit of travelling for this hunt. But it paid off, handsomely. Congrats and we see each other again in the W hunt.

Hahaha, now I know that it's a Violet flower with a bee on it, but decided to send you some of the comments that I get 🀣

A guy was trying to sell two young Hyenas and in his ad with a photo of them, he called them two young German Shepherds. I pity the farmer that buys those "dogs", as they will eat of of his sheep 🀣

It is a great post and worthy of praise my friend!

I keep it for "one day" you know 🀣

You are so lucky that your apartment is not very big, otherwise you would also have a mountain of excess goods that can kit out and army of poor souls hahaha.

We have what they call "flea markets" on Saturdays here where can buy all odds and ends. I am toying with the idea of renting a stall there and to put all of the stuff in my store in there for sale at cheap prices.

We have such flea markets here too, but I haven't been at any for quite a while. Selling such things you don't need anymore on such a flea market is a good idea, but most things I really don't need anymore I sell via eBay or local online markets. That's much easier ;)

hey!! not sure if I got any !BEER left, but anyway.
love this post much more then the previous one. you managed to present me a new word: Vista! never heard of it (except of a shitty windows OC I never used, luckily managed to escape it, and still married with version seven ).
Valley / Voluta are damn brilliant highlights of your post, like both captures very very much. Vanish also is awesome. needless to say I do not possess a single one image that rank to your valley. unfortunately... but I have more mushrooms instead! :=)

Excellent photo collection for the letter "V"!

The valley is beautiful with the view of the mountains.

The river Danube is wonderful, especially when looking from high like these.

The sunrise and sunset views are magnificent.

The little snail is cute.

The "vanish" bridge is amazing. Creative idea!

The violet flower is lovely and the bee is fascinating.

The "white" wildflowers on the mountains are my favorite. Very gorgeous!

YOUR PICTURES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love the Valley, Vrőič Pass, Vista, View, and Vanish hunt. I would love to see them in person. I also had a picture of thick fog but Vanish never came to my mind. I live in a tropical country and seeing a thick fog fascinates me. But of course, the flower and the snail are captured really well. ❀️
