It's part of a bigger waterfall, of course, but I thought this small detail shot would look better on its own and I liked the little "waterfall" on the lower right that nobody would have noticed in a photo with the whole waterfall ;)

I have already posted about our hike through the Vintgar Gorge in Slovenia, when we made it in Autumn, but the contest theme let me remember the photos from back then.

The Vintgar Gorge is a beautiful gorge near Bled and has some very nice waterfalls to offer, but if you go there, please go early enough to avoid the masses. At least when you want to take photos it's better to be there before the tourists to be able to take the pictures in peace.

Swirling water sliding down through rock formation, golden autumn leaves brings more colour, with moss peeking through on some rocks.

Looking at scenery alive in texture, last photograph the twig showing up through the raging water being swept slowly below. All exceptional photography once again.

Arriving early to avoid crowds, sound good advice, too many people in tight spots cramps your ability to capture exactly the feel you looking for.

Before the pandemic you could walk both directions through the gorge. There's an entrance on both ends. Down I was almost alone, what was great, but before the end the first people already came from there, and in my way back they came from the other side too. At many places you had to wait to get further. Now it's only one way and the way back is on a path through the forest above the gorge.

Sounds magical if you prepared to get their early before the crowds/tourist appear, also enjoy forest walks so both would be quite entertaining for me.

Walking in the woods with sound of water close both appealing!

Many of our streams are running full, dams have sluice gates open, we have had exceptionally good rain in catchment area this year.

These waterfalls are just spectacular if there is one thing I love in the amazing nature of this world is waterfalls and seems you feel the same way looking at these photos love them all 👍

At the moment I'm not in the mood for anything during the work week and on the weekends I have to force myself to get out at least for a few hours - too much work and too much things are going around in my head all the time. But in a couple of weeks a lot of work will be done and then I'll hopefully have more time, maybe for a break longer than only a weekend 😁
