Harvesting my already dried maize corn

avatar

HELLO HIVE

My yellow corn specie that was planted some few months back has successfully gotten through every phase from the moment where I had started planting the maize to the point where I am harvesting it.

There are two very common species of maize in the northern and southern parts of Nigeria one is the white maize this is characterized by the color of the maize corn which is always white and the yellow maize in which the harvested corn is yellow in color.

The one am harvesting from this part of the farm is the yellow maize and many farmers have their preferences depending on what this maize have that they like about it in my in case I prefare planting the yellow maize to the white even though I still manage to plant some white maize on a small portion of the land

The main reason why I prefare the yellow maize to the white one is cause of its taste and nutritional value when the maize corn is still fresh there is a common practice of eating it just after roasting the corn on the charcoal fire and the white maize is not as delicious as the yellow maize and it can sometimes be tasteless.

The second reason that is more important than the first is the scientific recommendation of yellow maize as a plant that has a high level of rich vitamin A nutrient it is not just something that I was told by my parents but it is something thats has been scientifically backed and this makes it a good meal to increase how functional the eyes can be

Some of the harvest have already been affected by pest from the farm already but I plan on applying preservatives to it so as to prevent pest from destroying the harvested maize crop.

Thank you for viewing my blo

I like the pattern you used to get the maize to get dried. You allowed the dried to take place before you harvested it. A lot of meals you can make from that;pap, chicken feed, grains and many more. Keep it up.
