#25: My garden: Bush clearing, weeding and cleaning.
Even if I have a work free day, I am never caught idle and today wasn’t left out. About today being my weekday rest, I decided to look around my environment.
After all the gathering and weeding, I decided to have some rest before rinsing the farm tools and keeping them in a safe place.
Hi Hivians, I am glad to make my first post here in this amazing community, cross culture. I am actually to engage, connect, learn and promote both the community and the blockchain in general.
Back to the discussion:
On getting to the backyard, I saw the bushy garden of ours. One may think if we are actually fallowing it for a period of time; but no. I guess it was overlooked or something (that wasn’t my concern), I rather took it up on me to do what was needed. What was that? Weeding and cutting of the grasses.
I went to my dad’s garage and got some farm tools that are appropriate for the work. These of course include: hoe, rake and machete. At first, I felt tired already just looking at the bushy place. It will amaze you that there wasn’t much to do, the bush was just exaggerating lol.
So, I began to clear using a machete. The ones that I was done with, I raked it, gathered it and dumped it in our farmland which would serve as manure. The sun began to get scorchy, so I went under the shade to rest. Thereafter, I came up to continue after it had gone down; this time around I was weeding with the use of hoe.
Few minutes later, my dad came around and appreciated what I did and asked me not to clear again because I began to clear from its roots.
He made me know that they are vegetables which could be cooked and used for consumption. This made my work easier.
Later in the afternoon, I had to go back to see how it looked. The bush now looks like a garden, ready to be used for planting.
So, how did your day go?
Also, how are you cleaning your garden?
