#52: Education Is Key
"The day is bright, bright and fair…"(singing). Any child who studied in primary school in Nigeria will probably know the complete lyrics of the above song (smile).
That song kept ringing in my mind while I was passing by one of the prestigious schools in my neighborhood; I overheard the pupils sing it alongside other children's songs and were reciting poems too. Immediately, my childhood days reflected in my thoughts.
Since I was less busy today, I used that golden opportunity to stroll down to the school and see it myself, having heard several testimonies of how good the school is from the parents and teachers who stay around my vicinity.
The truth wasn't far fetched when I witnessed it myself. Even though I didn't spend much time in the school environment, with the little I saw, I can boastfully talk about how serene the environment is for learning.
Taking the aerial view of the classroom environment, the classes are graded from creche to the last primary class.
Despite the fact that the school is just 2 years old, the fast rising academic standard of the school amazes me. The population has increased to a number of over 200 pupils. This really speaks well of the school's unrelenting effort to keep it in high standard.
You know "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." The school has a germ-free environment to keep the kids healthy by exercising their bones in the playground. Wow! This place is worth bringing your ward here.
However, let me leave the aspect of promoting the school, rather, I want to appreciate the parents of this generation who value the power of education. Embracing this, goes a long way to save a generation from being illiterate or unproductive.
Education is certainly the key, irrespective of how some countries may depreciate this sector. It is a huge investment that can't be toyed.
To my readers, for you to comprehend these arranged words in my post into a meaningful sense in your brain is as a result of education. Therefore, education is the bedrock to a successful life.
