What a movie caused me in my childhood days.

There is something strange I wish to share with us, each time I remember it, I laugh uncontrollably; the incident happened when I was little but I didn’t see myself that way because it wasn’t expected that someone of my age could do that.

You know small children learn faster from what they see, and they wish to practice it immediately; sometimes it is out of curiosity that it happens. It was one fateful day when my elder left a movie turned on and went to his room; before now, he was cautioned not to let me watch certain TV shows because of how the world is. Unfortunately, I was having a good time watching a movie where a boy lied to his brother about an action the other brother did and vice versa. This lie caused the two brothers to fight with themselves; when they were done fighting, they reported themselves to their parents and each of them narrated that the kid brother did this and that.

Finally, they discovered that they were fooled by the little boy and that got them angry but they could not do anything to the boy because the father gave a warning not to lay a hand on him since they were foolish to settle the misunderstanding with a dialogue instead of a fight.

When the movie ended, I cooked up a good lie that would cause my two brothers to fight with themselves – all this was as a result of the movie I just finished watching.

Guess what I did?

I told him that everyone in the house had eaten and the food in the kitchen was meant for him, I told them this lie simultaneously; meanwhile, the food was what my mum packaged for my dad when he was back from work. Without hesitation, my two brothers met each other in the kitchen intending to eat the food.

Immediately, my eldest brother asked the other what he was doing in the kitchen and ordered him to leave. The other brother of mine ignored him and went to get the food; my eldest brother snatched the food from him and said the food was meant for him. Without wasting time, they began to exchange words before getting into a serious fight.

When the fight began, I went to the room to call my mother who was resting after a long day of activity. She angrily called my two brothers and flogged them before hearing what happened. My readers, when my two brothers narrated the story to my mum, they discovered I lied to both of them. I got the beatings of my life from my mum, and after that, in the room, I got beaten by my brothers. Though I was crying, when I remembered the scene of their fight, I began I laugh again. Such a stubborn boy I was!
