What Saved My Life During School Days

Every parent hopes for their child to graduate with good grades, acknowledging their efforts and sacrifices in sending them to school. It is disheartening when students disappoint their families with poor performance or involvement in illicit activities. For example, some well-raised children may disregard their parents' advice upon entering college and engage in negative behaviors like joining cults, addiction, or prostitution, tarnishing their family's reputation.

I recall numerous instances during secondary school award nights when a particular student received multiple consecutive medals. I vividly remember a mother publicly celebrating when her child's name was called. Such moments bring immense joy to parents.

As a final year student, I am only left with two exams to write. I am grateful to God and proud of myself for making my parents proud with my grades and ensuring that I bring no negative reports home.

MY ADVICE

There is a common feeling most matriculants have when they start school, the notion that "they've arrived." I once had that feeling didn't let it overwhelm me. You know once you enter into university, you have the leverage to make decisions for yourself - at this moment, you need guidance the most.
Why?
This is because you are a newbie in this path; there are many people who had been here before you and have one regret or the other. It's sounding strange, right? It shouldn't.

Seek Guidance

When I had admission into the university, I went directly to my eldest brother's room to ask him "how can I come out excellent in the university?" His response was very clear but direct, he told me: ask God to select your friends for you and stay away from ladies.
I wish we understand what he meant by stay away from ladies. He meant I shouldn't have an affair with them but I can relating with all of them. Yay! I kept his advice till date and I can gladly say that it has saved me from unfortunate happenings.

My Friends

Friends have a serious influence to us as an individual, I can remember some secretive things that has happened to me out of influence from friends. So guys, if you want to excel academically, be mindful of your friends.

Conclusion

I'm trying my best to make sure the coming students shouldn't make the mistakes I made while starting school rather, they should learn, then do the positive aspects I did, and even become than I.
For now, I want you all to wish me success in the last two papers I have before signing out 🤗.
