With all the protests and riots going on, I have to think there is a better way

This is all creating violence and not likely to end well for the side that is protesting.

Thus far the powers that be have tried to be accommodating but that may not last forever.

A better form of protesting is simply buying bitcoin:

Yea, you may not get the changes you want right away, but at least you won't be shot with a rubber bullet or tear gas or thrown in jail.

Bitcoin gives power back to the people.
