exploring the town of La Carlota, Bacolod🏝️
Hey, Hive friends!
Here is a quick "Friday throwback" to when my sister and I visited Bacolod last year.🤸♀️
My good friend Jem is gracious enough to tour us around her hometown.🥰
The photos with the train - this railroad was still active sometime until about the 1980s. It was heavily used to transport sugarcane to the rest of the town. As the town got modernized the train operations seized. It was good that the people in La Carlota has preserved this part of the train as it's a cultural heritage.
On the above photos in their municipal town hall, my sister Eve and I were happy to explore the place. It's got the vintage vibes that I feel like we are in 1970s movie or something.✨ The townspeople there were so nice, too. I love their warmth.😊
I hope I get to travel Bacolod again soon!🙏🫰
