“Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further.” ― Keith Haring || When I was a child I quite did not understand the purpose of art. I mean, really. I thought it was a silly subject I need to pass and that's all. There were days I'd resent my Art teacher when he tells us we need to submit yet another project. Clearly I did not understand the purpose of why art existed in the first place.
“Things are never quite as scary when you’ve got a best friend.” —Bill Watterson || The deep waters do not scare you as much when you have got a friend you can rely on. I am happy that in my new career I have found a best friend -Joy. I am glad that we both get to share some aspects of our lives to each other without shame or the fear of judgement.
THE EXHIBIT || In sum it celebrates the new chapters we have in life. We get to define that, though. No amount of advertisements or external factors could force us to start a new chapter in our lives, except only us.
"alice in the wonderland" || Here is what I think of this piece: It's Alice on her way to the wonderland ~ the blur of the girl signifies when she was transported to the other world. These two blindfolded men were there to pick her up and escort her.
"freedom is expensive in the work place" || The working man wants to be free of these chain of thoughts but he is held to his feet with an invisible tie. To say that freedom costs extreme is an understatement.
balloons, roses and how i am no longer happy || When you first look at the painting you would not notice but if you fix your gaze you will see that the lady behind the balloons look like she is the most unhappy soul on the planet. No matter how many bouquets she gets or how many grand balloons are given - her happiness cannot be cured.
Cloud of Worry || Don't we all have this day in and day out? Every single one of us around here ~ we worry about trivial to life-changing things that affect how we feel. Is there any other way though?
Outer space. Chase me! || Starting a new chapter and leaving one behind could feel like it is a constant chase to other galaxies.
How our bodies change. || What an epic masterpiece this painting is! (For me) It is like a grand celebration of human bodies and the bloody changes we all go through.
Sleeping on these books tonight. || Where are you daydreamers at? Is it not awesome how books transport us to so many places, and sometimes even at once!
