Treat Street Café: Cakes • Pastries • Coffee (first time after the lockdowns!!)
It has been a loooong time I haven't gotten my quiet time a.k.a. me-time so it is definitely something I look forward to every month. 🥺 Luckily I was able to find time recently, ergo I am sharing that with you today.♥️
I went to Ayala last week and as I was searching for where to spend a quality me-time my feet took me to Rustan's. It was random and weird at the same time lol. I thought of going to Abáca but ended up here instead.
It was the first time after the lockdowns (BEEN AWHILE INDEED) so I missed visiting here. Treat Street Café gained its popularity when it was featured in Best of Cebu 2019 in a popular news "brand" called Sun Star. They were awarded as the "Best Dessert Place".🏆
So tried not to miss out on trying their dessert and see for myself if indeed it is "best" hehe. I ordered one of their best sellers: the treat Street pie! One slice is just 120 PHP and it's quite large for me (cutting a bit on my sugar intake these days haha). 🍰
My honest thoughts on their treat steet pie: I did not like it on my first bite. After three or four that is when I began to appreciate it. Oh it had walnuts - which I love - so yay! The chocolatey consistency was good and did it have a little coffee taste too? (I highly think so). The crust was soft with a bit crunch. It was an amazing mouthful experience, and now I know why it's one of their bestselling pies. 😍
I paired this pie with a nice hot cup of tea, something bitter-ish to counter the sweetness of the pie. I got an Ahmad Tea in Rosehip and Cherry. 🌹🍒 It was only for 80 PHP, very affordable. The tea kind of surprised me as it tasted "less" cherry and more rosehip - I thought it would be the other way around haha. 😅 But it was good nevertheless.
I enjoyed my me-time by writing on my journal and watching YouTube videos. 💖 I felt happy I was able to be quiet and savour this moment. 🖤

Yep. I like having me-time in cafes. It's great to pause and reflect and write - what better way to do it than with coffee (or tea in this case) 😊
I also love spending time alone. Most of my days pass in reading and writing. 😁
Oh cool. That's good to hear. Most people these days do not like spending time alone because they're afraid to be seen as lonely. But there's so much magic in spending time alone right? Writing reading and reflecting on how's life lately is super important ☺️😊

Me-time is a good way to take care of yourself and relieve stress. I hope to give myself a treat soon. 😃
