En HIVE definitivamente todos los días se aprende algo nuevo. La noche de ayer me acuesto muy contento porque recibí un "jugoso" upvote de un usuario llamado Trafalgar en mi ultima publicación.

Cabe destacar que ignoro totalmente quien es este usuario por lo cual mi sorpresa de haber recibido el voto fue autentica. Pensé, bueno, a una ballena le gustó mi vídeo y los planes que tengo de ayudar a un proyecto de Habla Hispana, el caso es que me acosté a dormir muy feliz y contento. Como no estarlo? A todos nos gusta ver vuestros contenidos originales siendo apreciados.

El día de hoy me despierto, y en contraste con la noche anterior, me doy cuenta que recibí un downvote, igual de "jugoso" que el upvote recibido en la noche anterior . Está vez por parte de un usuario llamado Newflash, quién aparte de dejarme "flasheado" también destaco que ignoro totalmente conocerlo o si quiera saber quien es.

La idea de esta publicación no es generar algún tipo de controversia o "guerra" entre usuarios, ni mucho menos desprestigiar a alguien en especifico, sino más bien educarnos, o en este caso educarme acerca de este suceso que ha sido inédito durante mi estadía en la plataforma. Es por eso que a continuación y manteniendo el orden cronológico de mis emociones sentidas, compartiré mis experiencias y conclusiones acerca de este tema.

Al principio me sentí un poco indignado debido a que no sabia ni encontraba razón alguna para que mi publicación hubiera recibido un downvote. Me dije:

• Contenido Original (check)
• Casi 3 minutos de vídeo hablando acerca de un tema y poniendo la cara (check)
• 317 palabras de descripción adicionales a los casi 3 minutos de vídeo (check)

No piensen mal, no estoy agrandando la calidad de mi contenido o esfuerzo, sin dudas hay personas en HIVE que le ponen mucho esfuerzo y entusiasmo a sus contenidos, mucho más que mis publicaciones o las de cualquiera, lo que busco resaltar es que mi contenido es como el de muchos que compartimos la red, original.

Luego de haber cuestionado y buscado razones, decidí investigar un poco y me di cuenta que la mayoría de downvotes del usuario Newsflash son dirigidos hacia la mayoría de los posts votados por Trafalgar

Guerra De Ballenas

La verdad es que lo ignoro totalmente y de haber una, entonces digamos que soy parte de un fuego cruzado. Lo cierto cierto es que fui impulsivo y coloqué un Tweet al respecto, además de dirigirme al usuario que hizo downvote preguntandole sus razones, esto ultimo, de manera inocente porque la idea es saber que está haciendo uno malo para mejorar y seguir. Pensamiento ingenuo de mi parte sin dudas sin embargo cada ser humano es distinto y complejo.

No voy a negar que todo esto me indignó y me hizo sentir un poco mal, inclusive cuestionando la calidad de mi contenido porque ciertamente, y esto no se puede negar, hay contenido en Hive que esta tanto sobrevalorado como subestimado. Y digo esto porque pienso que la razón del downvote quizá haya sido porque mi contenido, en realidad no merecía tantas recompensas. Lo que me hizo cuestionar, quien esta para decidir que contenido merece una determinada recompensa?

Luego de hablar con un par de amigos en la plataforma, y comentar lo ocurrido en el chat de Hive-Latino en Telegram, hubieron muchos comentarios que llamaron mi atención y me hicieron recordar que sí, sencillamente esto es parte del juego.

Por ejemplo @laloretoyya comentó:

• "Los downvotes no necesariamente son porque el autor del post haya hecho algo mal, son también para regular el tamaño del voto y proteger el pool de recompensas"

• "Si a alguien no le gusta tu publicación, puede dar downvote"

• "La realidad es que ninguna recompensa es tuya hasta que finalice el séptimo día"

Complemento los comentarios de la compañera laloretoyya con los de la usuaria y muy colaboradora @victoriabsb quien aparte de concordar con los argumentos de lalore agrega:

• "Si quieres tener igualdad de condiciones que una persona de stake grande, compra $Hive y haz Power up"

De estas opiniones, las cuales respeto mucho, comparto, e inclusive aprendo porque definitivamente son 1000% validos estos argumentos, podemos sacar algunas conclusiones:

Hive demuestra una vez más ser un ambiente descentralizado

Y no lo digo con ironía. Estas "guerras" entre ballenas, downvotes por contenido "sobrevalorado" mantener el equilibrio en cuanto a la locación de Hive Power, no le caíste bien a un usuario, entre las miles que puedan existir para recibir un downvote, demuestran y confirman que proof of staking es un sistema descentralizado, a pesar de que pueda tener algunas fallas.

Cada usuario puede hacer con su voto lo que desee, sin justificarlo

Pues sí, sin duda alguna y por muy crudo que suene cada inversor, usuario, individuo puede usar a discreción su stake en el cual ha invertido dinero o tiempo.

Oye pero esto puede ser negativo para #Hive

Al contrarío, estos mecanismos fueron diseñados precisamente para combatir cualquier tipo de abusos o explotación del sistema, estamos hablando de dinero damas y caballeros, y nosotros humanos, hemos demostrado durante la historia de la humanidad que podemos hacer cualquier cosa (licita o ilicita) por obtenerlo, y más si hay una brecha abierta para explotar un sistema que sin lugar a dudas ha sido generoso con todos y cada uno de nosotros.

Ninguna Recompensa Es Tuya Hasta El Séptimo Día

Dios mío, esto sin dudas fue un abre ojos y vuelta a la realidad. Leer un comentario tan sencillo y tan verdadero por parte de Natalia hace que uno considere y vea las cosas desde otra perspectiva. Quien garantiza que las recompensas que has obtenido son las que tendrás al final? Nadie. Lo que pasa es que estamos -y aquí peco de ingenuo- acostumbrados a que siempre recibiremos lo que vemos, y que bajo ningún concepto podríamos recibir un downvote por cualquiera razon que fuere. Ja, que iluso.

Al final este día a pesar de haber empezado en una nota negativa termina siendo un día glorioso porque además de aprender algo nuevo, estoy vivo para ponerle el pecho a cualquier downvote que venga. Agradecimiento especial a @arlettemsalase y @eddiespino quienes también compartieron sus opiniones y fueron de mucha ayuda.

Para finalizar siento que gané en vez de "perder" porque aparte de no perder todas las recompensas también aprendí algo nuevo. Espero que les pueda servir la experiencia compartida por mis compañeros y mi persona de ayuda.

On HIVE you certainly learn something new every day. Last night I happily went to bed because I received a "juicy" upvote from a user named Trafalgar on my last post

It should be noted that I am totally unaware of who this user is so my surprise at receiving the vote was genuine. I thought, a whale liked the Spanish Community project I was talking about; The thing is, I went to sleep very well and soundly, a whale liked my video. How could I not be happy? We all like to see our original content being appreciated.

Today I wake up, and in contrast to last night, I realize that I received a downvote, just as "juicy" as the upvote received last night . This time from a user named Newflash, who apart from leaving me "flashed" I also note that I totally ignore to know him or even know who he is.

The idea of this post is not to generate any kind of controversy or "war" between users, much less to discredit someone specifically, but rather to educate us, or in this case educate myself about this event that has been unprecedented during my stay on the platform. That is why and keeping the chronological order of my emotions felt at the moment, share my experiences and conclusions about this issue.

At first I felt a little indignant because I did not know or find any reason for my post to have received a downvote. I said to myself:

• Original content (check)
• Almost 3 minutes of video talking about a topic and putting your face on it (check)
• 317 words of description in addition to the almost 3 minutes of video (check)

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not magnifying the quality of my content or effort, without a doubt there are people on HIVE who put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into their content, much more than my posts or anyone else's, what I'm looking to highlight is that my content is like that of many of us who share the network, original.

After questioning and looking for reasons, I decided to do some research and I realized that most of the downvotes from the user Newsflash are directed towards most of the posts upvoted by Trafalgar.

Whale Wars?

The truth is that I totally ignore it and if there is one, then let's just say I'm part of a crossfire. The truth is that I was impulsive and I posted a Tweet about it, besides addressing the user who downvoted asking his/her reasons, the latter, innocently because the idea is to know what you are doing wrong to improve and follow. Naive thinking on my part no doubt, however every human being is different and complex.

I will not deny that all this outraged me and made me feel a little bad, even questioning the quality of my content because certainly, and this cannot be denied, there is content in Hive that is both overrated and underrated. And I say this because I think the reason for the downvote may have been because my content didn't really deserve so many rewards. Which made me question, who is to decide what content deserves a certain reward?

After talking to a couple of friends on the platform, and commenting what happened in the Hive-Latino chat on Telegram, there were many comments that caught my attention and made me remember that yes, this is simply part of the game.

For example @laloretoyya commented:

• "Downvotes are not necessarily because the author of the post has done something wrong, they are also to regulate the size of the vote and protect the reward pool."

• "If someone doesn't like your post, they can downvote you "

• "The reality is that no reward is yours until the end of the seventh day "

I complement the comments of laloretoyya with those of the always helpful @victoriabsb who, besides agreeing with lalore's arguments, adds:

• "If you want to have equal conditions as a big stake person, buy $Hive and do Power up " *.

From these opinions, which I respect a lot, share, and even learn from because they are definitely 1000% valid arguments, we can draw some conclusions:

Hive proves once again to be a decentralized environment.

And I do not say this with irony. These "wars" between whales, downvotes for "overrated" content, keeping the balance in terms of Hive Power location, a user not liking you, among the thousands that may exist to receive a downvote, demonstrate and confirm that proof of staking is a decentralized system, even though it may have some flaws.

Each user can do with his vote what they want, without justifying it.

Well yes, without any doubt and as crude as it may sound each investor, user, individual can use at their discretion their stake in which they have invested money or time.

Hey, but this can be negative for #Hive.

On the contrary, these mechanisms were designed precisely to combat any kind of abuse or exploitation of the system, we are talking about money ladies and gentlemen, and we humans, we have demonstrated during the history of mankind that we can do anything (licit or illicit) to get it, and more if there is an open gap to exploit a system that undoubtedly has been generous to each and every one of us.

No Reward Is Yours Until The Seventh Day

My goodness, this was certainly an eye opener and a reality check. To read such a simple and true comment from Natalia makes one consider and see things from another perspective. Who guarantees that the rewards you have obtained are the ones you will have in the end? No one. What happens is that we are -and here I am being naive- used to the idea that we will always receive what we see, and that under no circumstances we could receive a downvote for any reason whatsoever. Ha, how deluded.

At the end the day despite having started on a negative note ends up being a glorious day because in addition to learning something new, I'm alive to put my chest out to any downvote that comes my way. Special thanks to @arlettemsalase and @eddiespino who also shared their opinions and were very helpful. Ultimately I feel like a winner instead of a "loser" because aside from not losing all the rewards I also learned something new. I hope you can benefit from the experience shared by my peers and this server.
