Let's talk about the "Crypto Falldown" and how is affecting me [ENG/SPA]

The cryptocurrency market has been negatively affected during the last few days. We can notice this not only with the decrease on the price of Hive, but also in the majority of projects that exist in the crypto space. Bitcoin has always set up the tone as well as being the main reference in crypto markets in general. Some projects have suffered a lot, among them Terra (Luna) and its "stable coin" TerraUSD($UST). The former has suffered a free fall that is very reminiscent of the days of Bitconnect who brought with it, the sign of a long winter back then. Will this be again the signal for a long bearish period? We don't know for sure, but the markets and sentiment in general are one of uncertainty in all projects across the board and it is at this time that key decisions are being made that can positively or negatively impact our portfolios. As a famous Youtuber around says: "sharks don't run from blood, they go for blood ". Let's hope the sharks show up to see if they satisfy their bloodthirst and put an end to this bloodbath.

A couple of days ago our friend @eddiespino wrote about how the crypto crash is affecting us. He starts by mentioning something very important and key which is that every individual is in a unique situation and reality when the market crash occurs, and continuing with this premise, we could say that each person reacts differently in terms of investments depending on their situation, needs, and adjusting to the present reality they are in.

In the real world we have social classes. The crypto world does not escape from this, ergo, we could say that in every corner of the different metaverses and cryptos in general there are:

• Lower class
• Middle class
• Upper class

Of course each social stratum of crypto-space will act differently to this common factor which is the resounding fall of the crypto-markets, therefore each situation depending on the case will affect us in different ways and make us adjust depending on the needs and amounts that are available to us. Of course there are factors that influence as our level of expertise in situations like this, and also comes into play our own ignorance which makes us take decisions at the wrong time or even before time.

How does the bear market affect me personally?

My current situation, and net amount of cryptos in my portfolio either liquid or staking could put me in the lower class among our fellow crypto-asset users. I can't dwell let alone speculate on behalf of the other classes so I will keep the focus on my situation.

Hive, as to many, has been my main source of income. The loss of the value of our main token will act in detriment as far as the value of my earnings are concerned, it will also probably affect my personal life a little as I will have less liquidity to cover my basic needs, however not everything is negative and I see in this a great opportunity to accumulate more Hives and if possible to invest taking advantage of the times of bears.

My expenses are not many, essentially I only spend on food, services, and the basics so I will have to stop giving me some food luxuries out there. You could say that I am a minimalist in a sense and I will have to be even more so during these times. The good and advantageous thing about being in this position is that I already know the way, or at least I have more experience in the sense of how to surf the lows.

Since I don't have too much liquidity to invest, I have to double my work and try to maximize my chances as much as possible. I am even reviewing other online work options that may allow me to obtain an extra Fiat income to be able to invest and take advantage of some projects that are undervalued, prioritizing $Hive, which in my opinion was already being undervalued before, and taking advantage of the current price seems to me an ideal opportunity to invest when the outlook clears up a bit, which in itself is already very cloudy.

The future is uncertain but we already have some experience when the cryptocurrency markets collapsed back then in 2018. I don't know how different it will turn out this time, but after seeing and living already through so many bloody periods one develops a certain apathy and even stomach to weather this kind of situation.

In the end we must adjust to our needs and try to cut back on what we don't really need in order to endure and resist what already seems like a cold winter for crypto.

On an extra note and despite the fact that it is a market that is currently lacking liquidity. It is very impressive how the $HBD has remained at stable levels despite the carnage. El mercado de las criptomonedas se ha visto afectado de manera negativa durante los últimos días. Esto lo podemos notar no solo con la caida del precio de Hive, sino que también en la mayoría de proyectos que existen en el cripto-espacio. Bitcoin siempre ha marcado la pauta además de ser referencia principal en los mercados cripto en general. Algunos proyectos han sufrido mucho entre ellos Terra (Luna) y su "stable coin" TerraUSD($UST). La primera ha sufrido una caída libre que recuerda mucho los días de Bitconnect quien trajo con ello, la señal de un largo invierno en aquel entonces. ¿Será esta de nuevo la señal de un largo periodo bajista? No lo sabemos a ciencia cierta, pero los mercados y el sentimiento en general es de incertidumbre en todos los proyectos en general y es en este momento en donde se toman decisiones claves que pueden impactar de manera positiva o negativa nuestros portafolios. Como dice un famoso Youtuber por allí: "los tiburones no huyen de la sangre, van hacía la sangre". Esperemos que los tiburones aparezcan para ver si se sacian y ponen fin a esta sangría.

Hace días nuestro amigo @eddiespino escribió acerca de como la caída de las criptos nos está afectando. Él empieza mencionando algo muy importante y clave lo cual es que cada individuo se encuentra en una situación y realidad única cuando ocurren la caída de los mercados, y continuando con esta premisa, podríamos decir que cada persona reacciona distinto en materia de inversiones dependiendo de su situación, necesidades, y ajustándose a la realidad presente en que se encuentran.

En el mundo real tenemos clases sociales. El mundo de las criptos no se escapa de esto, ergo, podríamos decir que en cada rincón de los distintos metaversos y criptos en general hay:

• Clase baja
• Clase media
• Clase alta

Por supuesto cada estrato social del cripto-espacio va a actuar distinto ante este factor común cual es la caída estrepitosa de los criptomercados por lo tanto cada situación dependiendo del caso nos va afectar de distintas maneras y hacer ajustar dependiendo de las necesidades y cantidades que estén a nuestra disposición. Por supuesto hay factores que influyen como nuestro nivel de experticia ante situaciones como está, y también entra mucho en juego nuestra propia ignorancia la cual nos hace tomar decisiones a destiempo o inclusive antes de tiempo.

¿Cómo me afecta esta caída en lo personal?

Mi situación actual, y cantidad neta de criptos en mi portafolio ya sea de manera líquida o en staking podría colocarme en la clase baja entre nuestros colegas usuarios de cripto-activos. No puedo opinar ni mucho menos especular en nombre de las otras clases por lo que mantendré el enfoque en mi situación.

Hive como a muchos, ha sido mi principal fuente de ingresos. La pérdida del valor de nuestro token principal va actuar en detrimento en cuanto al valor de mis ganancias se refiere, también probablemente afecte un poco mi vida personal ya que contaré con menos liquidez para sortear mis necesidades básicas, sin embargo no todo es negativo y veo en esto una gran oportunidad para poder acumular más Hives y en lo posible invertir aprovechando los tiempos de osos.

Mis gastos no son muchos, esencialmente solo gasto en comida, servicios, y lo más básico por lo que me tocará dejar de darme algunos lujitos alimenticios por allí. Podríamos decir que soy un minimalista en cierto sentido y me tocará serlo aún más en estos tiempos. Lo bueno y ventajoso de estar en esta posición es que ya me sé el camino, o por lo menos tengo más experiencia en el sentido de cómo surfear las bajas.

Ya que no tengo mucha liquidez para invertir, me toca doblar el trabajo y tratar de maximizar en lo posible mis chances, inclusive estoy revisando otras opciones de trabajo en línea que me puedan permitir obtener un ingreso de Fiat extra para tener la posibilidad de invertir y poder sacar provecho de algunos proyectos que estén infravalorados, priorizando $Hive, que en mi opinión ya antes estaba siendo subestimada, y aprovechando el precio actual me parece una oportunidad ideal para invertir cuando se despeje un poco el panorama que de por sí está ya muy nublado.

El futuro es incierto pero ya tenemos algo de experiencia cuando los mercados de criptomonedas colapsaron en el año 2018. No sé cuan diferente será esta vez, pero ya después de ver y vivir tantos periodos sangrientos uno desarrolla cierta apatía e inclusive estomago como para sortear este tipo de situaciones.

Al final debemos ajustarnos a nuestras necesidades y tratar de recortar lo que realmente no nos hace falta en aras de aguantar y resistir lo que ya parece un frío invierno para las criptos.

En una nota extra y a pesar de que es un mercado sin mucha liquidez. Impresiona mucho como el $HBD se ha mantenido en niveles estables a pesar de la carnicería. No se desanimen y siempre traten de actuar con inteligencia y buscando lo mejor para su situación actual. No mastiques más de lo que puedas tragar, y no tragues más de lo que puedas comer. Hive On
