Space energy sources.
Space energy sources.

We have three types of hydrogen, hydrogen one or protium which is the most common isotope of hydrogen that has a proton and no neutron in its nucleus, it is a proton and an electron and that's it, then there is hydrogen two or deuterium which contains a proton, a neutron in its nucleus and is also used in some recipes to achieve nuclear fusion and then tritium which is hydrogen 3 which contains a proton and two neutrons in its nucleus, this may be boring but we are talking about power, energy.

Helium 3 has some disadvantages, I thought it was a bit forgotten,
what are the disadvantages of Helium 3? The first one is that it is very scarce on Earth, we would have to go to look for it on the Moon, although if we could use it to produce energy it would be profitable to extract helium 3 from the moon; the second disadvantage is the most important and is that the fusion of helium 3 with deuterium, which is the other element used in this recipe to obtain fusion energy, requires very high temperatures, about 600 million degrees and the third is that the fusion of deuterium with tritium, which is what is currently being used, is more efficient than helium 3, although deuterium unfortunately does leave radioactive waste.

Spaceinsider published a report on the statements and what Isaacman said in front of the senators, (source below) with it you will have an idea of where NASA is going to go and with NASA a lot of space agencies around the world because so far the situation is as follows, NASA captains the international program Artemis or Artemis, in it are among others the European Space Agency, the Japanese Space Agency and quite a few more the intention of this plan is to return to the Moon as a priority objective and establish a base or a sustainable presence on it.
