The noise of jet engines and the imposing skyline in the background are nothing new for Dubai, the city that is home to one of the busiest airports in the world, however, a special occasion recently occurred because jet engines were not on planes enormous but in human pilots that also acted as racing vehicles.

Dubai is already becoming an adventure destination with zip lines installed at tourist spots such as the Dubai Marina and the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. The city has also been flirting with the idea of introducing flying taxis for some time, but recently managed to another world premise with the Dubai Jet suit Race.

The event was made possible thanks to the ingenuity of Gravity industries, this UK-based company has been a pioneer in personal human flight, in 2017 the company revealed its first jet suit since then it has demonstrated its technology in more than 260 events live in 45 countries over the years.

Equipped with 15 horsepower, these suits have more power than a state-of-the-art sports car and use aviation fuel just like traditional airplanes.
