CineTV Contest: My Favorite Space Movie is Armageddon [ENG/SPA]

Welcome to this presentation on the occasion of the contest presented by CineTV on what is your favorite space movie, after meditating I have to mention a movie that always when they put it on cable I stay watching it even though the years pass, I still like and surprising, in other words, This is one of those movies that you can see over time over and over again and feel the same adrenaline, by the way it was created this is none other than Armageddon.

Armageddon is a science fiction classic. The director Michael Bay has always excelled in making this type of cinema and this is personally one of his best works. In this film they deal with one of the most exciting themes of science fiction: The way in which humanity would face a threat that could mean its annihilation, in this case a Texas-sized meteorite approaches the earth. There are many movies that touch on this theme, but by far this is one of the best. The special effects are superb considering how old it is.

Bienvenidos a esta presentación por motivo del concurso presentado por CineTV sobre cuál es tu película del espacio favorita, después de meditar tengo que mencionar una película que siempre cuando la colocan por cable me quedo viéndola a pesar de que pasen los años, me sigue gustando y sorprendiendo, en otras palabras, Esta es una de esas películas que puedes ver a lo largo del tiempo una y otra vez y sentir la misma adrenalina, por la forma como fue creada esta no es otra que Armagedón.

Armagedón Es todo un clásico de la ciencia ficción. El director Michael Bay siempre ha destacado en hacer este tipo de cine y esta personalmente es una de sus mejores obras. En esta tratan una de las temáticas más apasionantes de la ciencia ficción: La manera en que la humanidad haría frente a una amenaza que podría significar su aniquilación, en este caso un meteorito del Tamaño de Texas se acerca a la tierra. Hay muchas películas que tocan esta temática, pero por mucho esta es una de las mejores. Los efectos especiales son magníficos teniendo en cuenta lo viejo que es.

It is a masterpiece from start to finish. The choice of actors is fantastic, a spectacular cast in every way. A Bruce Willis giving his best, Ben Affleck with an outstanding performance, a Liv Tyler who dazzles with her beauty, and a cast of very good supporting actors. Steve Buscemi's performance, who never leaves anyone indifferent, and Michael Clarke Duncan, who looks like he could carry the shuttle himself, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Having said that about the cast, the action scenes are brilliantly shot and the staging is sublime.

Last but not least, as I do in all my posts, the great soundtrack of this movie, with a song that in its year was even nominated for the Oscar award for best song: I don't wanna miss a thing. Simply superb.

Es una obra maestra de principio a fin. La elección de los actores es fantástica, un reparto espectacular en todos los sentidos. Un Bruce Willis dando lo mejor de sí, Ben Affleck con una actuación destacada, una Liv Tyler que deslumbra con su belleza, y un elenco de actores secundarios muy buenos. Destacar la actuación de Steve Buscemi, que nunca deja indiferente a nadie, y un Michael Clarke Duncan que de lo inflado que está parecía que podía cargar el mismo el transbordador, ja, ja, ja. Dicho esto del reparto, las escenas de acción están rodadas con brillantez y la puesta en escena es sublime.

Por último, y no menos importante, como lo hago en todas mis publicaciones, la grandiosa banda sonora de esta película, con una canción que en su año fue incluso nominada al premio Óscar a mejor canción: I don't wanna miss a thing. Simplemente soberbia.

Although of course there are many detractors of the film, I remember I once read that Ben Affleck at that time once told the director if it was not easier to turn Astronauts into Drillers than to turn Drillers into Astronauts and the director told him to shut his mouth, and yes I honestly think it's easier even I have to admit that the script could have been better, it has no philosophical messages, It's not very scientific, it's not even believable, Although I even think they exaggerated with the American Patriotism that they are the only ones who could save humanity. But I really don't care, that's why they call it Science Fiction, for me it is an extraordinary movie to watch and enjoy, it is a movie that leaves no one indifferent and loaded with a lot of emotion, personally I recommend it.

Aunque claro hay muchos detractores de la cinta, me acuerdo que una vez leí que Ben Affleck en aquella época una vez le dijo al director si no era más fácil convertir los Astronautas en Perforadores que convertir los perforadores en Astronautas y el director le dijo que cerrara la boca, y si sinceramente pienso que es más fácil incluso tengo que admitir que el guion pudo ser mejor, no tiene mensajes filosóficos, No es muy científico, ni tan siquiera es creíble, Aunque incluso creo que exageraron con el Patriotismo Americano que ellos son los únicos que podían salvar a la humanidad. Pero en verdad no me importa, por eso lo llaman Ciencia Ficción, para mí es una extraordinaria película para ver y disfrutar, es una película que no deja indiferente a nadie y cargada de mucha emoción, personalmente se las recomiendo.
