A Social Feature I'd like to see on Hive

Today an idea but me. Why can we just have a social feature for blogging on Hive where users can easy quote the posts of others?
This quote will be like a long or lengthy reaction of someone about a particular post made by another person. This makes it easy for people to react based on the ideas of another person in a whole separate post..
In the past we've seen people leave lengthy replies in the comment section of others, and deprive their followers the pleasure of seeing their thoughts on some particular subject matter.
Sometimes we see post regarding issues that we want to address, and this quote option is a very powerful social tool which we can use to achieve this.
I also think that this addition might not be a core feature of the chain, but ends like ECCENCY or PEAKd can add it, since it's not a chore Blockchain feature that will require a fork or rearrangement of codes or something like that, so it's probably not going to take a lot to do.
So let me give you a little backstory on how I came up with this idea
The idea
Today I came across a very good post from someone and it triggered my reaction and tore open my thought process.
I had a lot of things to say, but I couldn't gather my thoughts enough. However I left my comment on the post, but but that wasn't everything I wanted to say.
I had a lot in my mind, and I also wanted to share this same thoughts to my followers as well, and also give others the idea to understand the standpoint of the original owner of the post.
The moment I saw the post I knew I wanted to say something bigger, I wanted to wrote 3 or 4 paragraph about how I felt towards that idea, but unfortunately I couldn't, since it wasn't a feature we have.
Infact in order to appreciate the original thought process owner, we can dedicate some percentage of rewards to motivate that person after we've quoted the post or we can choose not to, total by choice.
While this is not an innovative idea or one that can boost price or reduce the bleed in the DHF, it's actually a fun one that improves or add to the social experience of a user on the chain.
This isn't all.
I think this creates a lot of awareness.
A lot of people share controversial, relevant information through their content which can involve proposals, subjects about Hive security, the DHF, and other stuff; being able to quote directly with one's own thoughts, opens door for more conversation will certainly create awareness and users can easily pass their thoughts across using these powerful tools of communication, thoughts and exposure..
While it's also not new in any social web2 space, I think it's an essential social experience features that any social space should have, irrespective of web2 or 3.
I don't know how these changes are done, but I know it's not a core Blockchain thing that requires a fork, and this is why it's even better.
I talked about it bit being essential to the tokenomics of the chain, the core structural setup of the chain or anything, but it can also bend narratives. On Hive We're sometimes limited to seeing contents of who we follow except we go to the trending pages, this can somewhat change what. What do you think of this?

But i can't tell if it's going to take a lot or not, because this type of quote you're talking about is supposed to display the names of every quoted author, i.e the person you're quoting. And also, a link attached to a part of the quote for easy and better referencing.
But I think the feature is going to be a massive addition. Moreover, it's quite common these days.
Not really, each post will just have a quote option and a new author can directly quote a post and the quoted post will actually show beneath the quoted post as well. So it's quite simple
Now this is sounding a bit confusing. But, If I understood the first proposal correctly, you were talking about a quote option for every post(and maybe replies as well because they're technically post too).
And, your reasons for that is because, you would love to quote other writer's post in your own, right?.
So, what I'm saying is that, the quote option needs to come with certain attributes like original authors name, a link back to the original post, and also timestamps.
Unlike this plan quoting style below without any attributes...
The new quoting style would contain those attributes, Including a field for the actual quoted text.
I meant to say plain and not plan. Basically there's no overthinking it. Twitter for example has one, so just to mirror it.
I think it's probably right to discuss it. If we don't, nothing will change. Even if our impact isn't that large, I think that is one of the good things about Hive, and it opens up the discussion about what might need to change.
Yes, it's open up for discussion, but I don't know if many are willing to see a change like this happen. Don't think it'll cost much anyway.
Idea isn't bad, I have seen many posts with long - length comments and relevant to the Post Subject, but some are just doing spamming with copy paste words.

Such a straightforward but underrated pain point. How many times have you meant to expand on someone’s thoughts but got lost in the comments section, losing clarity or followers? A dedicated "quote post" feature would unlock so much better engagement, let people build on ideas without forcing them to squeeze their response into a comment bubble or risk losing context. Worth exploring how decentralized apps could implement this easily.
