Content Creation: The Rubrics & Fundamentals

Some of the most consistent creators on hive are the ones that have built their niches around their profession, hobbies, interests, ordinary lives, and even the general knowledge they acquire daily. This ranges from the conversations they hold with people on the job, to the things they deduce on a daily.

For example, photographers have to take pictures of things ranging from the ordinary to the extraordinary, meaning that people are even creators based on the perception of what they deem to be valuable or ordinary. This is to say people who have and experience more eventful lives are more knowledgeable, maybe not from a general perspective but in certain areas of concentration.

Operating a digital camera might seem technical, but exposure to a camera creates a special affinity that establishes a person as a craftsman.

Some people go on to become vastly knowledgeable in different skillset, because of their willingness to learn. Now when people like this decides to intentionally monetize these know-hows, it might end up being the opportunity that changes their lives.

This means we can be amazing at what we do, even if we do not start with the intent of attaining mastery. For example, a person who visits a gun range and has mastered the art of shooting, over time, might use these skills as a form of content to educate, fascinate and inform some specific part of their audience.

The reason is that it is not every country in the world that gives guns licenses. So people who do not live in countries with a gun license, might not find the content valuable, but they might find it fascinating and entertaining, which means they've also derived some certain form of value.

People derive value subconsciously and consciously,

sometimes we learn from the content of others without really according to them the appreciation they deserve, there are times we appreciate them too. We're mostly subconscious learners because the world is filled with unintentional creators.

Not everyone is a seasoned creator,

........but by default, we're all content creators. This is because our lives, narratives, and experiences are meant to serve as a form of knowledge that's extendable. So whether we monetize our experiences intentionally or choose to inadvertently share them Someone somewhere is always benefiting.

People who make creative decisions in the workplace are creators. I've seen amazing chefs monetize their cooking skills on places like YouTube. Cooking is a skill that needs to be showcased before it can be appreciated, as is playing football, or music. This further explains the fact that with the advent of technology, monetizing one's skills and knowledge is extendable.

Another thing is that people can choose to be intentional about content creation.

When people decide to monetize their skills, it can lead them to seek mastery, to attain perfection One of the ways to show intentionality is niche discovery, especially if a person is choosing to go pro.

Going pro means sticking with some particular niche/s. In almost every aspect of content creation, people need to be professionals or good at what they do to attract the right audience, especially for Hive, where the rubrics aren't limited to any standards. This doesn't mean a person has to be professionally certified to be a content creator it's even easier.

Modernization & The Advancement Of Social Spaces

With the advent of social monetization a goofy video can go viral on Facebook because an already-established content creator finds it fascinating and the people who follow this huge creator are inclined to like that particular video.

You see, in the world of content creation, value has become relative, people no longer collectively measure quality, it's now individually done. In web2, value can be influenced or translated to a particular audience. This is why web2 creators are mostly paid influencers. However, people can choose to like or dislike what is forced on them. The power of choice to determine value can be entrenched.

I just came across your post in a while and i remembered vividly that I wrote something similar about a topic like thidand I even tagged you and stars in the post but unfortunately I got no response...

I wrote back then on finding out your niche skills and mastering it to be your full strength and with it you can Change not just your life but your life as a content creator/blogger which is going to be on a different level and that will happen when you sit down to visualize your niche skills and working hard to make it your strength then you will be recognized by what you do best, This is Just a summary of that post, I used you and stars as a case study because you are more of a finance related post writer and Stars is a general topic writer but that does not mean you don't have other niche skills but I guess finance is your strength...

I think I understand your point on this post talking about building strength in what we do in our daily lives and also in our interactions with the pros of the job and from there interest is developed and then in no time there is willingness to learn more with it depending on one's opinion and that to as a side hustle...

I have seen a lot of people who just picked up an interest and today it is fetching them cool cash as a side hustle and that is how life is, it is different to be intentional when picking up a skills and it is different to be equipped with the knowledge from start and all this focus on learning and picking up different skills and making them a tool of money source with the help of different techs and apps...

Utilization is the key to making money all we need is resources...

I even tagged you and stars in the post but unfortunately I got no response...

Oh, which means I must've missed the post, my my!

Anyways, this post, is even deeper, because I talked about people, their profession, knowledge and interest and how this can turn them intentional creator, especially if they deem it fit.
I addressed the issue of people finding it difficult to carve a niche for themselves and how they can actually do better. It's different from being pressured to make Money. It's more like a process where you create without the craze to make money. The idea of money is why people are hasty creators.
I really didn't make emphasis on money here. I just talked more about discovery and how one can master some crafts that can make them good creators.

Anyways than you for the comment, I'll sure check out future posts that might share ideologies on content creating.

In as much as we have passion for doing something, of course we do with zeal and all strength.Our begining maybe a little challenging, not a good as someone who have spent more years. We learn from one step to another a graduate to a higher levels.

On a second thought there is a niche within everyone one of us there's something that interests us which we are fairly good at worth sharing. As for me while reading this article, writing about Telecom related articles could be another niche for me which I only did on Hive on rare few times.

You could explore telcom articles, in relativity to finance. I'm sure there's a way you could establish a blend. Sometimes it's also about mixing it up and seeing where it eventually begins to work out.

I very much agree with you that we are all content creators, whether we know it or not, because we all influence other people directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously.

When it comes to consciously creating content, using our talents to speak or teach about them through a social platform will certainly allow us to focus on and excel in a niche. By doing so, we will be creating value for someone, that is, something valuable to a certain audience, which will allow us to earn money in the process.

Now, the value that an audience gives to something is completely subjective, but what is subjective can have an impact in terms of profitability. A silly video on some social network may not have any value in terms of its real utility or teaching something useful, but because it amuses people, or seems funny to most people, it ends up becoming a hit in economic terms.

The point I want to get to with all of the above is that social networks have evolved in such a way that we can create useful content or not, which can still be successful if we keep creating them on the time; because with this we manage to create a faithful audience and in the end, with it, success will be guaranteed in one way or another.

I think the internet has made it possible to give value to what might not be realistically valuable. Like you mentioned, a video, a funny one at that might garner lots of views and money in the process, even if it doesn't add any real-world value. The point is that the internet is redefining value in ways that are absolutely subjective.
This is why we're often conscious or unconscious creators. Sometimes we add value without knowing, unless there's a possibility of monetization.

Technology has improved both pictures and videos. There are a bunch of new things being developed and there are always new things being added. It's something that can give people an edge but nobody knows unless you decide to use it. Building things is a long term thing and I just think that it's a learning process that never ends.

Very well, neatly wriiten out, even our very lives are content in themselves, definitely the act of building consistency in content creation and building a niche around what you love is the key to grow.

But I have a friend who is a sport freak ...like there is nothing this guy is not aware in the world of sport, but this guy does not even have the willingness to pen down a word talk less of creating a content about it

So the act of creating a good content is more of immersing yourself in your very act and loving what you do and also having the willingness to share that experience so others can get hold of it and learn
