Is AI the reason people are neglecting CRYPTO?

I'm not even going to lie the wave of AI is currently so trendy that you can almost never tell what's done by a real human and what has been generated or altered, and apart from this aspect.
We've seen how AI is basically being plugged into businesses and existing models. I was doing a some of promo (in my former online job) for an AI outfit that lets people have access to digital formats and numerous models especially if they're into graphics.
So basically every aspect of their media will be handled by this AI outfit with numerous models, all you have to do is pay and you can select the model that suits your workflow. So basically your business no longer needs a graphics designer, an editor, a social media manager a copywriter or just anyone using manual tools to offer services to your business.
It was good service honestly, but unless I was broke or just establishing a startup and I need to cut cost, I'll still prefer having a real human offer these services to me.
However a lot of startups are being built everyday, most times these startups needs money to actually build these businesses and they need to cut cost too so they're not in negative and this is why they'll continue to choose AI workflow because most times it just costs their cost by over 70%.
In some aspects of course the AI will provide better services and in some areas, the AIs will just about perform "not so good" and that is where a human touch is always required.
The era we currently are in is the era where people want to use AI for their workflow and not let their clients know they've used AI.
So they also pay a few people to make that AI output seem more natural. I think this is mostly because AI outputs or results are still not very perfect and are not very natural.
Also businesses do not want or like to give the impression that they're heavily using AI because they don't want people seeing their product as "inferior", as their are client who will probably never be convinced enough about AI.
However, cost reduction, automation, ease, and simplicity are the biggest reasons why AI is selling and remains relevant, and this is what manual output couldn't offer seamlessly.
In the early days crypto offered freedom from centralization, it gave people to opportunity to save in something different from fiat, people who were paranoid with physical money got what they wanted.
People trying to evade tax saved in crypto and even criminals used it to launder money and so many other things. Crypto was a menace to fiats, government hated it. It felt like the final piece of the puzzle that gives complete freedom to the masses. Then we had smart contracts and everyone could basically built anything on the blockchain without having limitations.
Crypto
Crypto 15 years later didn't progress beyond this, I think this is mostly because of lack of creative builders, stifling from government, overall focus on BTC these days, and the golden age weren't bettered by the present age.
If you look at the rise of crypto, it's similar to AI. It offered functionality and usability and a sort of "eureka" moment to people who were looking beyond fiat. I don't actually think the rise or beginning of AI beat the dominance or interest that crypto had, I just think AI is relatively new, offering a lot of massive opportunities and plugs in easily to real world use cases.
So did it replace the crypto hype?
Maybe. I can't exactly say, but what I do know is that AI is following the law of demand and supply, just like people did back in the day with crypto. While crypto is still seasonal is probably one of the reasons why it looks like the AI hype is swallowing it. I think two things can coexist. Just like how chatGPT can coexist with Claude or Gemini.
Crypto can shine alongside AI, infact a combination of crypto and AI is already a thing, but currently no builder is integration true crypto or blockchain functionalities into AI usage in this modern day, and this is how uncreative the crypto space currently is.
AI looks unstoppable, but is it going to peak or attain diminishing returns, definitely. At some point AI will reach ira maximum height and new AI outfit will no longer be able to come in since the market will be taken by already established outfits.
It is happening in every industry built by humans. There will always be first movers, a peak, then saturation from inferior competitors and then hype gradually slows down. It's currently happening with crypto and you can see the pattern if you look well.
It could appear so, but I think that at some point AI will be what will boost the crypto space through agentic "traders". For me as I see it, the AI actions will be performed through the shape of "tokens" from blockchains, so for sure crypto will evolve with it.
I think there are already agentic protocols in crypto I think, I just think a lot of them are copy and paste and have no innovation. I've seen a lot of them being built and most gave fizzled out pretty quickly. Perhaps we'd see better ones soon
I think both can coexist, but I still think that crypto has a harder time since the developers have moved towards AI as their focus. Without those developers, I think that crypto will have a much harder time getting hype. Maybe when the AI craze drops down, things might be better.
Yes, I think they can coexist as well. There's no reason they cannot. I just think AI has more innovative builders at the moment than crypto devs and all. Most of them don't want to build anything with utility anyway
There is also the possibility that crypto and AI combine to make something greater than each alone.
Honestly this stopped me scrolling: I'm not even going to lie the wave of AI is currently so trendy that you can almost never tell what's done by a real human and what has been generated or altere, it's the kind of post that makes the feed better.
